Updated rooms and facilities. Friendly staff. Purpose of staying was for the extended parking when flying out of Sanford airport and the entire parking lot was full. So the only reason we stayed at the hotel was for cheaper parking for our trip. We needlessly stayed overnight at the hotel then ended up having to park at the airport anyway. Be aware the parking is apparently first come, first serve and the parking lot is extremely small.
Very comfortable bed and pillows A sheet is not warm enough but the comforter is too warm, need a light blanket to geta good nights sleep, we didn't
The Breakfast is not good enough. To much sweet.
Had no car so was gonna walk to the Wing House and when asked the front desk how far she told me and then offered me buy one get free coupons.
Convenient location to the Sanford Airport.
Nice quiet room, safe surroundings Could have had more of a selection of restaurants nearby that delivered - my choices were Chinese or Italian
The motel was in close proximity to the Orlando/Sanford airport The hotel was not clean. The room was extremely musty to the point that it smelled as if there was mold in the room. The refrigerator made such a loud noise that I had to unplug it in the middle of the night. It was a difficult place to get a good night's rest. If you are choosing to stay at the Best Western for the convenience of travel to the airport, it would be better to travel a few extra miles for a better hotel.
Fabulous staff, great breakfast and clean nothing - happy all the way around
Room was nice and clean. It was also big with a good size bathroom. There could have been more breakfast options. The staff could refill the empty breakfast trays. Had to wait 15 min for it to be refilled
Convenient location relative to downtown Very basic amenities.
It's located right next to he water so you can look out into the water every night. It's walking distance from the old downtown area which is made up of small store fronts, family restaurants, and even a small market that sets up on the weekend. Also just a few minutes from the zoo. The staff is extremely friendly and went to every length to ensure that we were happy and taken care of. There's a delicious seafood restaurant at the end of the hotel where you can sit outside to eat by the water front. And if you like water pressure, the showers are amazing. Also there's washers/dryer on site and available 24/7 The beds were a little hard, but tolerable. It's a lock and key door so you only have one key. The room could have used a paint job but otherwise was fantastic.
Nothing at all except the staff was very friendly! The entire hotel. Dirty, old, unkept, roaches, smelled, rusted, mold, the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at in my life! I will never return again. The owners have out no money in upkeep what so ever!
Location was pretty The air conditioning unit was not adequate for the room and it did not work well. It was a pretty warm evening.
Beautiful location, building well-maintained, clean Facilities in need of upgrades, doesn't do premium location justice
This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. There we tons of bugs inside the front window. The windows hadn't been washed in I don't know how long. The sink was gross and dirty. The sheets didn't appear to be very clean, at least ours were stained.
Nothing. It was filthy and very uncomfortable.
The hotel staff when checking in were very professional. When entering our room, 204, we were dissappointed. It was not up to date and everything was worn. There were bugs smashed on the walls and things were just not clean. There were bugs on the sheets when we took the bedspread back, we had to brush them off to sleep. There were not enough security lights nor any kind of security on the premises after midnight. We had to leave the hotel at 4:45 AM and we were very causious to our surroundings because it was darker than other hotels in the parking lot. The surroundings of this hotel was beautiful, however, the rooms were so uncomfortable, dirty, buggie, and not a secure area I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very accommodating for a teen, on her own, stuck in Orlando at the wrong airport. Treated her like a queen. She spent two nights at Disney and was exoecting a cheap motel. It was everything but. Says she would love to go back. Thst says a lot. Everything was fantastic
It was close to the airport and a good restaurant. It was a worn out place that looked neglected. The front door stuck, there was water leaking from the Air Conditioner, etc.
Loved the location! Being on the lake was great! Awesome sunsets! Great location to their downtown with restaurants and shopping. The whole place needs a gut job and remodeled, from the inside out. Before you book, if you can make sure you look at your room first. Their "lake view" rooms can sometimes be when your standing at the window to look. We paid $10 more a night for direct view and the view was great! The room itself was tolerable. They didn't have HD cable coming through to the tv even though the tv was HD, the picture was small and we had the sound all the way up and it wasn't loud. They had extension cord hanging so they could have the tv and the lamp and coffee maker all plugged in. The bathroom smelled like Body odor. But the bed was comfortable. So if it wasn't for the location, we would never stay there again. They need a serious upgrade. It could be an awesome place if they did a complete remodel. The area is great!
Being able to relax at the pool or beach and just enjoy the quiet!
The staff was great, they helped us with directions more than once. The rooms were clean. The pool was nice. They had a microwave and fridge which we didn't expect for the price. They do need better towels but they were very nice and brought us extra ones. I would stay there again. We got our moneys worth. Thanks. Maybe you might leave more towels in the rooms since they are so thin.
Both front desk personnel we encountered were extremely responsive and very helpful. This was tremendously important for my wife and I.
Price and location to airport. Old and big crack around door.
We like the clean rooms. No
Cheap and close to airport Front desk clerk (English accent) was awesome...checked us in early and said we would have a wake up call and a taxi called..we stayed here because it was 10 min from airport and we had a 6:20 flight. He also said coffee would be ready for us at 4:20 cause that's when our cab would be there. We set our alarm for 3:30 and our wake up call was at 3:40. No wake up call came. I called at 4 and he said our cab was called. We went at 4:10 to get coffee and the night desk guy would not let us in. We had to wait in front of the hotel with our 6 month old baby. Cab never came. At 4:30 8 went to try and ask the desk guy about the cab and he wasn't around. He finally came at 3:40 and got him to call the cab comany and they said he was never called. So no wake up call, no coffee or no cab call. The whole night there were people all around with music blaring and people walking past our door talking loud. Overall, cheap place to stay by dont rely on them for anything.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I missed a continental breakfast
Great location from the airport and local shopping and restaurants Could use a hair dryer and a coffee maker in the room
Falling apart old hotel
It was close to the airport in Sanford, very convenient for an early flight
Room was in good repair, location was great easy to find airport. Staff was pleseant and helpful. Room was clean. Couldn't be nicer even though I was only there 1 day. I was a solo traveler. I would recommend this place.
This place was super clean and the room was way more than I expected for the price. We had a big living room/kitchen area with a pull out couch and flat-screen TV and a private bedroom also with a flat screen. The pool was cute and clean but sort of small and cold. The free breakfast wa exceptional for the price. Location was perfect for us because we wanted something close to Sanford airport and the shuttle was free. They also were very understanding about our late checkout. Overall, I was very happy with our stay! Pool was too cold. By summer though water should be warmer.
The location was good. We only had to travel 10 minutes to the airport. THe suites were small and they could also use an additional TV in each suite.
Value. Nice room.clean. desk staff pleasant and helpful . Pool towels. No carts available. Breakfast was hard and cold at starting service time. No dishes or utensils in kitchenette.
too far from the orlando downtown
I was overcharged and now waiting for refund. However, I was assured I will be refunded within 3 business days. Billing practices.
Nothing really except the rooms were a decent size. Otherwise then decent size rooms, everything else was horrible. Drugs all around the motel (inside and out). Prostitutes coming in and out with many different men throughout the week we were there. Things were broken in our room the first day we checked in. Dirty motel- someone spilled rice on the 3rd floor and was never picked up for over a whole 24hrs. Then the biggest part of the stay that pissed us off was we were told our ESA service dog and stay with us before we reserved but when we got there around 11pm they denied us to stay with my Bipolar/ADHD/Anxiety attacks daughter who needs her dog. I slept in the car the first night with the dog and found a boarding place with our vet doc for her to stay with for the week until my daughter's doctor helped us with paperwork to change our ESA service dog to a Psychological Service Dog. When I showed them this so she can stay with us as the ADA laws state they still would not let us stay there, forcing us to move to another hotel that would. This was the worst experience and horrible service I ever received from a motel/hotel and would NEVER refer anyone to stay there.
Nice clean comfortable room. Fairly new facility. The area a little shady after dark but nothing bad happened to us or our car. We wouldn't mind staying longer if we had to. Absolutely worst front desk clerk ever !!! Keisha B rudely informed us that all rooms are sold out and there is nothing we can do to get one. Immediately we came back to our car and logged into KAYAK.com, made reservation and came back. She was surprised but had no choice but give us the room. While we were walking through the front desk she sent away another customer. I advised the guy to do the same I just did. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WORKED because I meet him leaving the hotel next morning. My only guess is that she was to busy hanging out with her boyfriend and smoking cigarettes in front of the hotel that she didn't feel like going inside and spending few minutes to check us in. It looks like she is pretty popular in that area because when we were working on our booking in our car she never went inside and even more people came to hang out with her and her boyfriend.
Guy at front desk was nice. Other occupants were super shady. Floors were uneven. Pillows were misshapen. AC wasn't cold, didn't stay on, was loud, made weird dripping sounds. Shower was just above a sprinkle.
