being by the marina and airport the staff and food
Everything was vey good- I especially like the design of the room, modern and in very good taste. no
Confort and service poor transport to airport and extremly high transfer charges fro airport to hotel
I was unfamiliar with the large scale of the city of Ostia, and was expecting a more intimate setting. I was using the hotel/Ostia as a one day last stop before flying out of Italy to avoid a long drive early in the morning for my flight. The hotel staff was either pointedly rude and difficult to deal with, or seemingly very helpful. If I did not also speak Italian, I think I would have not have been able to get service when I did need it. The rooms were clean, however worn and tired. The carpets are horribly stained and give the impression of the rooms being dirty. I would not reccomend Ostia for a quick stay or with little kids, in the summer the beach clubs could be fun with older kids, but you need to bring your own towels etc. There were not many nice eating choices nearby. I would go to the 'smaller' town of Fiumincino for a meals and a 'nicer' (be aware that Fiumincino is still no Tuscan hill town) experience, and being closer to the airport.
I really Liked the bathroom, and the lighting. The window treatments were nicely done/pretty The info said the hotel was near the airport. Either the taxi driver took us the long way around--but it was a 30min trip for what was suppose to be 3.9 miles to the airport. So it was not the hotel but the info given on booking.com, The bar and restaurant were not open in the evening, just for breakfast.
modern and well positioned
Very sleek and modern design. A bit difficult to find in one's car because roads are not marked well. The afternoon desk clerk at checkin was a bit curt, but the evening staff was very helpful with assitance on some business matters.
modern design, friendly staff, great location. the carpet was way too dirty in our room.
great location, very nice staff, good and easy to use parking space. The room needs some upgrading.
Great experience! Staff were superb; spoke good English & were very helpful. The hotel was across the beach - had a nice time strolling in the evenings. Easy access to public transportation was also a big plus. California
Location & great view of beach across the street. Everything was fine.
Our room was modest but very clean and functional. Every staff member was friendly, patient and helpful. Breakfast buffet was nice.
Friendly staff, very safe/secure, nice breakfast included, and great discounts at the private beach & restaurant right across the street.
The cleanliness of the room but most of all the staff for their willingness to help. Of course the balcony and the view of the sea is a plus. The lobby is not the same level as the street but the staff help us on our luggages.
The front desk personel could have been more informative.
Pleasant atmosphere and reasonably quite. Meals in restaurant were average
Our stay was brief. Unfortunately, there were no restaurants within walking distance, but public bus transportation was easily available. If we had stayed longer than one night, the room was very small.
It was close to the airport
The bar terrace overlooking the garden, perfect for sitting with a cold beer during the evening and after a busy day but only a 'good point' during summer months. The 'shuttle bus' only shuttlesb during the morning from hotel to airport, for all other times/journeys it is a 'taxi bus' whereas one needs to telephone for it but this information is not volunteered by the hotel, one needs a crystal ball, and I waited 1.75 hours at FCO airport. My room was very small and with a very small bathroom, no bathtub despite my reservation saying there would be one, and the hotel is adjacent to a busy road so the traffic noise can be quite considerable. Breakfast finishes at 1000 and the bar does not open until 1700, inbetween these times it is not even possible to get a cup of coffee never mind a sandwich. The restaurant deep-fries the prawn/shrimp menu and with the shells on, the restaurant food was generally very poor and very 'fast food'. And the hotel's WiFi internet is EUR5 for 30 minutes, EUR10 for 1 hour or EUR15 for 2 hours, 2 hours being the maximum and least expensive price and the WiFi doesn't work on the hotel's 2nd floor where my room was.
Hotel is not worth the cost and services are not what is being advertised. I liked nothing and will never go back.
The staff was helpful with guiding us to Rome via public transportation. The pictures on the site are a bit misleading. A decent hotel, but so far away from Rome. No internet in room & have to pay 3 Euro/hr in lobby, only 10 channels on TV
Just a place to stay overnight.Nothing extra. Bed was too hard. Answer to second quetion below is I do not know.
It was close to Ostia Antica scavi. Loose drain cover in the middle of the bathroom.
Very clean and excellent breakfast Location. Expensive restaurant and aditionals.
We loved the room with the balcony overlooking the sea. We loved the breakfast. The staff at the front desk were very helpful regarding the shuttle. It was a very comfortable hotel. It was very clean and had recently been renovated. We were not able to contact them from the airport so they could send a shuttle to pick us up even though I had emailed them 2 days before giving the approximate time of arrival. There was no one to answer the phone at the desk.
Very noisy, because of two discos across the street. Not a 3 star hotel.
Close to airport
Very close to the beach with good restaurants nearby. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Hotel shuttle to the airport was convenient.
The hotel was ideal for our purpose, a combination of business and pleasure. Not the most luxurious, but ideal with friendly, helpful staff.
The location wast the best
easy online booking, practically located nearby both Fiumcino airport and seaside, fair value
Staff was very pleasant and efficient. The location as described to be near airport was correct. I had booked a twin room. The details said that it had two separate bathrooms. However, I saw that it was a twin- sharing room with two beds and one bathroom. I do not know what is the difference then between a twin and a double room? Breakfast coud have some warm items - it was all cold.
Nothing 3 stars - must be joking just makes it a 2;paper thin walls, old building, musty bathroom (door warping from moisture) smelly garbage bins just outside your window, pub accross on the beach playing loud music past 3 A.M. nightly
it was not expensive we did not have an elevator in our side of the building and had to carry bags up 2 floors - no english tv channels - no wi fi
Hotel situated 100 meters from the beach.big and clean room. staff of the hotel is professional and attentive .breakfast consists of ham, cheese, butter, milk, orange juice, cookies, jam, etc.the hotel has a shuttle from and to the airport(7,5 euro/person/1 way).for rome : train station stella polare(5 minute of the hotel).to rome are 30 minutes with the train(pyramide station).in the night used N3 bus(after 23.30).bus station is exiting the station, left, pass the traffic light and left 30 m( opposite direction of pyramide).
Clean , nice and friendly well equipped hotel. Very close to the beach and 5 minutes walk rom the metro station. If I were to come to Rome again I would stay there again. Nice staff, rooms cleaned every day , towels changed every day . High rooms ( 4 metres) well conditioned , gave us a nice place to hide from the heat. Breakfast was nice ( croissants, toasts ect.) but ham was of very poor quality and seemd to be cheap.
Easy access to/from Airport in Rome if you are staying overnight upon arrival and heading away from Rome the next morning.
The hotel served its purpose. The hotel shuttle was great to have. The breakfast was ok. No one came to help me in the morning or offer me tea or coffee which as odd. I am sure it is a nice place when the weather is also more favorable.
Excellent, would stay again. Great location, was easy to find. Good parking. Leave your car and take nearby train to Rome. Good food nearby, walking.
Very clean, comfortable, with nice garden, sea view terasse and great helpful staff. The beach is accross the street and also a good thing is that the metro which leads to Rome (for about 30min.) is on 300m, In the evenings you can have relaxed walk near the sea from the center of Ostia to the marina and visit lots of stores within marina area. The breakfest was good but it was the same everyday.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They picked us up at the metro for free and arranged a very reasonable shuttle to the airport. They have a quaint pizza restaurant downstairs and loaner bikes to ride to the ruins. Very nice place at a reasonable price. Not the closest to the ruins or metro, but with the loaner bikes and an understanding of the bus that goes very close to their place it is a great place.
