Pros: Anything you need at any time. Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Best food in the DR. Top shelf liquor and awesome, clean beaches.
Cons: Everything was wonderful. No complaints!
Pros: Exceptional service, very good food, clean, scenic and beautiful. Not too many other guests (unlike two-deep chairs around pools at other resorts) but enough so the resort didn't feel empty. Great experience overall
Cons: Reserving pool chairs//beds has turned into everyone dropping towels ~7-8am and often times not coming back until the afternoon (as backup there are plenty of beach cabanas). Restaurant reservation system also a bit frustrating, we often had the last possible time of 9pm even scheduling 2 days in advance (buffet never disappointed and 24hr room service was also good)
Pros: The resort was very clean, well maintained and beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. The seafood buffet was a favorite.
Cons: We had difficulty making dinner reservations for where we wanted to go, and getting convenient times. In hind site we could have emailed for advance res. but we had no idea that was an option. Or that it would be necessary.
Pros: The staff is second to none. They are receptive to your needs and are very friendly.
Pros: Great food relative to other resorts in DR.
Cons: Some of the bartending staff were snarky.
Grand Hotel Bávaro’s hotel complex is located in beautiful Punta Cana Beach, in the Dominican Republic. Bathed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea, designed for an exclusive tourism seeking luxury vacation.
Cons: BAD FOOD, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE HAVE TO CHANGE ALL THE EMPLOYEEES,
Cons: The elevator was broken and they said it had been for almost 2 months, the jacuzzi button was broken, mini bar was never refilled unless we called.
Pros: Spa service was exceptional. Bars have a good selection of drinks, and the bartenders were friendly. The staff in general was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bag delivery and delivery service could take a long time.
Pros: Nice rooms and a great beach.
Cons: The food was mediocre at best. This was disappointing.
Pros: The beach experience
Cons: The family environment. The vast complex and how far everything was. The culinary experience.
Pros: food was ok. the view in really good.
Cons: the cleanliness of rooms are really poor. at night is very noisy even at the rooms. the room service is always late (after 2 or 3 hour after your request!!). Attention by the staff is really bad.
It is not worth the 5000 to 600 per night at all. you can find several hotels all-inclusive in the area with much better service. I think they have sacrifice money by attention as they focus in large number of people. I felt like a code bar , there ins't personalize attention as you expect for that value.
From exhilarating music to authentic memorabilia, innovative signature restaurants to electrifying public spaces Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana is redefining globally what a luxury destination experience can be
Pros: Loved the small intimate size of the resort. The staff is top notch and bent over backwards to please. Has an European feel and the food was good. Fusion restaurant experience was over the top.
Cons: Wifi in lobby was spotty, not much to do at night. I felt pressured to tip. No real beach but lots of pools. We paid for ocean view and only saw a tiny peek of one. I would return and recommend it to everyone.
Pros: Everything outside the room. the food, the atmosphere, the entertainment and staff was absolutely excellent!
Cons: Lack of quality control in the room. no coffee maker, lack of water pressure in bath tub, multiple failures with housekeeping (not leaving towels, not coming at all, taking my robes and not returning them), and room service was spotty with incorrect orders.
Pros: Love the staff! Specially Santo the chef!! Excellent food. Scarlett the best housekeeper . She is excellent . All the waiter & bar attended Magnificient .
Pros: Beautiful, romantic
Cons: electrical didn't work in our room in many outlets
Pros: Most of the staff was great, particularly bar staff including Martin at the Love Bar. The room was nice and accurately reflected "ocean view." The pools were quite pleasant including the main pool with swim up bar.
Cons: Food was very mediocre. More entertainment is needed as well if to compete with resorts in the other islands and even US resorts. They should have more air conditioning in their bars, lobby, typically sweat in these area from lack of it. Even in the restaurants the temperature could have been cooler.
Pros: The place is very secluded and is not currently near other resorts so it was very private and relaxing. The staff there is amazing! Everyone is so nice and eager to assist you in any way. I do recommend that you take plenty of Tip Money (apparently cash is preferred because that is the only sure way you'll know they got the tip. No guarantee by just adding charging it to the Room). You will definitely appreciate the amazing service.
It was also Seaweed, and every day they cleared the shore of seaweed and would haul it away so that guests could enjoy the beach.
This was a 5-Star relaxing Stay... Loved It!
Cons: I didn't like that Wi-Fi was not included with, but at least there is an option.
Pros: Great location, perfect to get away and not be bothered by crowds.
The property is just big enough and everything is easily accessible.
Everything is well run and organized.
The food we found to be excellent.
Find Carlos at the Castle bar for the best drinks on the property.
Cons: The only issue we had was our A/C slowly dying throughout the course of the week. Someone came to "fix" it, but it wasn't really fixed. This made the last night there some what uncomfortable, but we were on our way out, so didn't really make a big deal of it.
Pros: Pro: Very quiet, relaxing. Good food.
Cons: Con: Beach had heavy seaweed
Pros: Beautiful setting, great facility, cheerful and friendly staff who go above an beyond to make you feel welcomed and attend to your every need. They also were very sweet to our 4 y/o daughter. Food was decent and multiple restaurant options offer variety. The public beach just next to the resort is also beautiful and worth the short walk/golf cart ride (the hotel staff will give you a lift).
Cons: Despite requests from the resort to not "reserve" chairs at the beach and pool, particularly selfish guests would put towels down on the well shaded chairs by the pool and beach before heading to breakfast. Often they would finally show up hours later. Many guests didn't bother to remove their wet towels when they left their chairs so it was difficult to tell which chairs were taken and open.
Pros: The Service
Cons: Beautiful Resort
This luxury resort is located in Cap Cana (Punta Cana), close to Cap Cana Marina and Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park. Area attractions also include Punta Espada,Corales, and La Cana Golf Courses.
Pros: Great room and facilities. Outdoor jet bathtub. Nice beach and pool facilities. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good drinks.
Cons: Food wasn't particularly good.
Pros: Where do I start? Well, from the first step that I took at this Resort, we were immediately greeted with a "Welcome Home". We were offered refreshing towels with a mint scent. Reception was fast and friendly, the welcome team "Carlos" gave us a little tour around the Resort while pointing out everything. The hospitality level at this Resort is top notch, everyone you see and encounter will greet you with a humble smile....by the way the resort has this amazing way to answer you on how they feel..EXCELLENT... By the pool and bar area, Ana Luisa, Jeffrey, Ruben and Elias are an amazing team. The entertainment team will make sure that you have an amazing time as well, Big Papi, Tequila, Blacky and Grupi are full of contagious energy. My hat also goes off for my favorite Bartender "Antonio" at the Preferred Lounge. Antonio will costume make any cocktail or drink of your choice with amazing skills and hospitality...the best Michelada and Old Fashioned ( with Rum) at the resort. And if you need an answer to any questions or solutions to anything, fell free to ask Romylenis or Josefina at the Preferred Lounge. Thanks Josefina for helping me and my lady overcome the anguish we had when we miss our flight.
Pros: The staff was great. We had a great time.
Cons: The Buffets were good and the flavoring was ok, but we from Minnesota have had better.
Pros: Clean resort.
Buffet restaurants are very good.
Staff is very friendly.
Cons: Resort did not pay any attention to bed preference. All 3 couples in our group requested king beds and all three were placed in rooms with 2 separate double beds.
Lighting in the rooms is terrible, you cannot see anything in the mirrors.
Drinks are watered down (including white wine) and drinks at the pool bar barely have any alcohol in them.
Food is terrible anywhere except the buffets. Everyone on our trip experienced stomach issues at some point in the trip.
Located in Bavaro, this beachfront resort is next to a golf course and within 2 mi (3 km) of Jesus Maestro Parish, Cocotal Golf and Country Club, and Palma Real Shopping Village. White Sands Golf Course and Dolphin Island are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Pros: A 5 star in most respects. Some of the staff were less than welcoming but, overall, service was very good. Super facilities. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Cons: One or two dropped balls by staff but hardly worth a mention.
Pros: A great Resort. Extremely clean. Pleasant and friendly staff. Plenty of beach chairs, at past resorts we found it annoying that everyone would get up at 7am and claim every beach and pool chair before breakfast and then not even use them for the entire day, leaving those late risers with no chairs to use ever! this resort had plenty of chairs at the pool and at the beach thankfully! Also, it was nice to have multiple locations for food and dining...although for dinner you had to book ahead for sit down dinner reservations. I would definitely come back!
Pros: Staff very friendly, food great, tone very relaxing, can't wait to go back
Cons: Work on details
The Barcelo Bavaro Beach - Adults Only hotel is located on one of the 10 best beaches in the world, in the Punta Cana area of the Dominican Republic. This dreamy hotel has reinvented itself after a complete renovation to become an exclusive hotel for adults only. The hotel offers first class 80% of which are located right on the beachfront. This makes it the most perfect place for a romantic getaway.Enjoy the exquisite range of cuisine on offer at the hotel through the with its Caribbean Buffet, Chez Gourmet and La Brisa restaurants
Pros: The Spa was great!!! My husband and I purchased a couples massage and it was awesome.
Cons: It would have been nice to have been able to get food at the pool bars rather than having to go to the main buildings where all of the restaurants, inlcluding the 24 hour snack bar was located. We were a decent walk away from these and it was annoying to have to go so far for just a snack. At times, some of the bar staff was rather snooty too.
Cons: If I have only one critic it will be for the casino staff, only place in the resort where for some reason the staff absolutely not friendly,
Pros: Upon arrival, the staff was helpful, polite and always willing to help. Our room was very clean and maintained every day. We had a jacuzzi on our balcony with a great view of the beach. Food was good, a little repetitive , but you can always find something that you liked. Overall an amazing stay...
Cons: We were able to use the pool at the Bavaro Beach side but they would not serve us any drinks or let eat at the buffet.
Pros: Great facilities, beautiful setting, lots of fun activities available.
Cons: The food was absolutely terrible, both at the buffets and the a la carte restaurants. Most of the time the food seemed to be extremely dry, as if the food was pre-cooked and were sat under heating lamps for hours. The staff also seemed to be generally miserable, sometimes unhelpful and unfriendly. We were also left without toilet paper for an entire day, after the cleaner neglected to restock the bathroom. A lot of our calls to concierge also went unanswered or were redirected elsewhere to no avail. Also the lack of changing stations in the bathrooms throughout the resort is quite an inconvenience. We are a young couple with a nine month old infant, and having to go back to our room to change the baby is quite a task, as there is a lot of walking from the restaurants back to the rooms in the family section of the resort.
Cons: horrible internet service
would not return there because of it
a lot of good with no taste
Pros: We like the facilities for little kids. Family friendly, you have to walk (but we do not mind) they have 2 trolleys that pass every 6mnts.
the personal is nice, it could be nicer the one in reception but they are ok.
They help me to prepare the Happy birthday of my grandmother with music and the cake, that was the extra mile :)
Cons: The personal is nice, it could be nicer the one in the front desk but they are ok.
I know that the hotel was full, but every customer is important. Beside the monologues of yes and no (with any additional information) everything was nice.
Pros: everything is nearby . local is new.
Cons: room service is not good . and towels too old. 0ne day they only give our one towels for 4 peoples.

Pros: The place is very well located, the hotel is not huge but big enough to satisfy a short stay. Different than many resorts, this one give the chance to have a nice walk around the hotel enjoy other restaurants located at the other facilities
Cons: honestly, no too much to suggest, I think the food variety must be better, however to me it was ok
Cons: Awful. Please don't stay here.

Cons: Poor service. Very average food. Better pools only for VIP members. Unhappy workers
Pros: Liked the Entertainment by the pool.
Cons: Hated the FOOD - LOST 2 lbs at a all inclusive.
The made service was bad!! Left a dirty towel on the floor - they picked it up - folded it and hung it up on the shower door. The towel was full of hair from my brush.... after showering and using the towel that was hung up..... needed a new shower to take off all the hair. I realized then, they just picked up the towel from the floor.
Pros: The staff were great. I wish the daily evening shows would have had something special about DR. A little more of a cultural educational or more traditional Dominican dances.. During the multinational show, we wish they would have made announcement of what kind of dances we were about to see...
Cons: Don't take room 1307. We overlooked trash from our room.
Pros: THE TRIP WAS EXCELLENT ! VERY CARING AND HAPPY STAFF . Great entertainment every night .Restaurants and their
presentation of food was very good (Not enough spice for me but I understand). Room service staff was excellent made sure you had clean towels and rags ,turned down the beds every night and left you a little treat something as small as rose petals or a kiss chocolate .
The room was very spacious and nice . Huge jetted tub opened to the room . The grounds were well kept and very nicely landscaped .
The staff did a good job trying to make you feel very welcomed and comfortable . Everyone was very warm and nice . Thanks Spiderman( Joshua), Billy -(Entertainment) Angie ( VIP desk) Scooby doo -(Beach Entertainment) ,Stanley (waiter) and Lezardo ( manager by gardens) and I know I am forgetting a few but these are just a few of the remarkable employees. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was good.
Cons: I did not care for the bed not very comfortable compared to other 4-5 star hotels .
Did not like the fact that their was no Wifi unless you upgraded to a preferred membership . That should not have been a choice based on what you were paying for the resort. (cheaper hotels offer free WiFI)
The toilet in our room had so many issues . Frist the handle was loose so we could not get a good flush ,someone came to fix it ,them in order the flush the toilet we had to flush about 5 times ,while standing by to get a full tank . Some one came to repair that . After that the toilet kept running all night and all day . Such a disturbance when trying to sleep.
Did not care for all the sellers on the beach trying to get you to purchase something . 9Just too much)
Lots of sea weed in the beach . kept wrapping around your feet .
Located in Bavaro, this beachfront resort is next to a golf course and within 2 mi (3 km) of Jesus Maestro Parish, Cocotal Golf and Country Club, and Palma Real Shopping Village. White Sands Golf Course and Iberostar Golf Course are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Pros: I loved the food options and the staff was awesome
Cons: The resort is 45 mins from the airport. I also waited 1.5 hours for my room after check in
Pros: One of our favorite people was one of the baristas at the 24 hour cafe in the lobby. She greeted us with a high five and beautiful smile everyday. The food was amazing at every restaurant on the resort. The fire show was absolutely incredibly AWESOME.
Pros: The food was excellent but in some restaurants it took too much time to get your food even though the restaurant was empty
Cons: Some staff member suggested not to say I was a member of the US armed forces since the top leadership might think military members get too much discounts
Pros: I absoultely loved my stay at Dreams! The staff were friendly and accomodating, the spa was amazing and the food was great! I'd love for it to be my choice of hotels every time I go! I'll definitely take my kids too - there was lots for kids to do without being bothersome to the adults there without children. I recommend it highly.
Cons: The beach has a lot of seaweed, but nothing the resort can do about that! Well actually, they tried to maintain it by frequently combing the beach.
Pros: Went for my friend's wedding and stayed for a week. Food was good at all the reataurants. Staff were so eager to please, always happy. Lovely LONG pool, runs the entire length of the complex. Beautiful beach, lots of chairs and thatched umbrellas to provide shade.
Cons: Buildings are aging and there are some updated that could be done, but nothing that I didn't expect. I didn't like the pressure to book more excursions, but I kind of expected it.
Arrayed on an Atlantic Ocean beach 60 km (38 miles) north of Punta Cana airport, this northeast-coast resort includes a children's club and an adult-free teens' area.
Located in Bavaro, this beachfront resort is next to a golf course, 1.8 mi (2.9 km) from Punta Blanca Golf Course, and 2.3 mi (3.6 km) from Cana Bay Golf Club. Iberostar Golf Course and White Sands Golf Course are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Cons: The customer service. I was looking to extend my star at Pumta Cana so we checked in to the Palladium after The Royalton. It was night and day. They couldn't find my reservation. I had to contact getaroom.com... Was put on hold for 1 hour and a half while they tried to contact the front desk. I tried to hand the phone to the manager he refused. It took me 3 hours to check in!!!!!!!!! I hated that no one stepped up to assist me. When going to Punta Cana you have to go to the Eoyaltin... Not this dump. The food was terrible, the room was dirty the bathroom made me feel dirtier. I hated it.
Pros: Above average quality for buffet food, pretty good food at the formal restaurants as well. Staff very friendly and helpful considering they have their hands full. Flat screens in every room. Most activities are available on site.
Cons: 3 small things: 1) Theres maybe one ATM in the whole complex of properties 2) the restaurant Reservation system is terrible and most nights there was a giant mixup when we went out to eat 3) stingy with the towels man! Clean room? Expect 1 towel, no face towel, nothing else lol

Pros: The location of our room was outstanding! The grounds were great! The beach was nice.
Cons: Limited swimming space from the beach. Communication about activities, food and drink could have been better.
Located in Bavaro, this beachfront resort is in the city center and within 3 mi (5 km) of Jesus Maestro Parish, Cocotal Golf and Country Club, and White Sands Golf Course. Palma Real Shopping Village is 1.9 mi (3.1 km) away.
Cons: Cutting corners all the time due to low occupancy. Low staffing, slow service, cold jacuzzi, cold coffee, weird vibes all the time
Cons: The location of the resort on Kayak implied it was close to to the airport, instead it was an $80 cab ride!
This Uvero Alto resort is on the beach, 11.9 mi (19.2 km) from Macao Beach, and within 20 mi (32 km) of Punta Blanca Golf Course and Cana Bay Golf Club. Iberostar Golf Course and Jesus Maestro Parish are also within 20 mi (32 km).
Pros: Staff as expected was very splendid and helpful.
Cons: The room detail indicated that the Wifi was included in the stay but it turned out the WiFi was only free in the hotel lobby. The room charged 4 dollars a night for room usage. And you were only allowed to connect one device to the WiFi per paid night. It is totally ridiculous to charge for such a service if it could have been included in the room rate and save everybody the anger and confusion.
Nestled on the beach, this Bavaro resort is within 3 mi (5 km) of White Sands Golf Course, Iberostar Golf Course, and Jesus Maestro Parish. Punta Blanca Golf Course and Cana Bay Golf Club are also within 6 mi (10 km).

Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast daily between 7 AM and 10 AM. There's also a terrace, and rooms offer balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: The resort was just amazing. Everything about our stay was perfect. The food was great and the ocean was fabulous and so close. The resort was so beautiful and so clean. Can't wait to go back.
Pros: Beach was great!
Cons: Several front desk staff and restaurant servers had very nasty and rude personalities; no remote control for TV and did not get one for 2 days despite asking repeatedly; food in main buffet was not kept very hot; I got Traveler's diarrhea while there because of the food; housekeeping did not clean room twice!
I had a butler, who was not very responsive or helpful; I had to complain and act crazy with the front desk in order for them to do their jobs with regards to my room, room service, my butler, etc. I felt like I was working because of the lazy service instead of enjoying myself! Never again!
Pros: They did have some premium liquor which was better than many all-inclusive places I have been. Pool in our area was nice with fairly low occupancy and lots of places to sit.
Cons: Only one buffet for breakfast and dinner. Huge complex, but it seems to be several hotels in one and some things were not accessible to us, like the other 2 buffets onsite.
Pros: I liked the staff. They were friendly and helpful for the most part.
Cons: I didn't like that that there wasn't enough entertainment, everything is NOT included.
No water sports, you had to buy everything. A lot of seaweed at the beach. Not enough chairs at the pool.
There is no "view" from your room, either construction site or other building.
Not a true "beach front" property, you have to catch a trolley(still on the property though) to the beach and everywhere else
The food was just okay, very bland.
