scenic view, good food, spacious, clean room luggage drop is somewhat complex. who knows the button call needed to approach the lobby when someone first come? dinner restaurant in the hotel run by only buffet. i have no choice.
I was given the wrong room on the first day - the next day, I had to wait a whole day to be transferred. they never said sorry just about ur cash
The breakfast is OK. Situation is good for spending all time near the sea. Hotel is awful, no conditioner in the room. So to feel normal You need to go there in winter, not in the hot season. Bathtrooms are ugly, after taking shower You could use it like a pool. (shower upholstery exist but does not work). Don't go to this hotel.
the swimming pool area was good. a lot to choose from in the buffet meals. some areas are proven by age and use. no a/c or refrigerator in the rooms.
It's really a nice, but quite old hotel. Value for many - perfect!
hotel staff okay, the location is very good, the bed and balcony are good, the breakfast very good, no noise in the hotel... according the room and services (no coolbox, too hot in the room, bathroom poor, too small perking places) it is too expensive
Very good option of upgrading to half board for an extra 3 euros per person. Nice pool area. Good for a short stop over as part of a longer tour. No airconditioning in rooms. It was also quite boring, although clean and modern it lacked atmosphere!
Excellent location in the midst of greenery and immediatelly at the beach.
Friendly staff Good food choices at reasonable price Value for money Lovely setting Quiet bedrooms No real bad points, some staff semed more surly than others on the surface but this was found to be shyness, or lack of confidence with language.
The personnel was extremely helpful and nice. Room very clean. Great view from the room on the see side.
the hotel was probably the quietest in the group on the resort.handy to local supermarket but not too close and easy enough to get the bus into the city.on a beautiful coastline, helpful staff.
the snorkeling was great we even saw dolphins one evening
Honestly not a great deal! Staff were rude and not helpful at all.
The location is excellent and is ideal for both families and couples The room was never cleaned you were expected to do this themsleves even though towels and bedding was changed regularly. The staff on recpetion speak very little english and are not able to help very much
The location is of hotel is very good: it's very close to the beach and not very far from Pula. We also liked city of Pula, so when we wanted something different from just beach and nature we could go to the city and spend some time there sightseeing or having dinner. The rooms are not very comfortable for travelling with small kids. Also in September it was a little bit cold sometimes.
The views over the sea, closeness of sea and bathing area plus terrific sunsets viewed from balcony. Set in national park, walks thru' the woods very tranquil. Easy and regular bus service to Pula. Price of food and drink very reasonable both on and off complex. Virtually everything closed; 10 - 15 minute walk to reception. It is a huge site, pretty empty save German / Austrian students, and for us oldies rather too undulating
the rooms were very clean and spacious. there is a long walk from the reception to the apartment and with our luggage, we found this very tiring and confusing. there was endless amounts of things to do in the resort and a great selections of bars and restaurants in a ten minute walking distance. it is an ideal location for families and those lloking for a relaxing break.
location to the beach
The apartment was very nice, very clean and modern with modern furniture, kitchen equipment and facilities (ie 3 ring hob, family size fridge, tv, hairdryer). Even our special requests were met, ie first floor apartment with a sea view. On the whole the resort complex of Verudela is well laid out, with a selection of apartments and hotels all spread out amongst the woodland off a peninsular just outside Pula. Unfortunately, the area immediately surrounding Punta Verudela apartments lets the whole place down. The apartments themselves look like a prison camp and look very run down, I would have cried if we had been staying there. And the walkways that link them are in need of some upkeep as the weeds are coming up through the paving. It's better to stay in the Verudela Beach and Villa Apartments, which are just 5 mins walk away around the peninsular, but are set in gorgeous woodland. They are slightly more expensive but definitely worth the extra. We were also disappointed with he on-site supermarket, which always seemed to have a low stock of bread and poor quality fresh fruit and veg, not to mention that it was very expensive compared with supermarkets in Pula itself, just a 20 min bus ride away. We still used it to buy fresh milk etc, but did our main shop in Pula instead. The weather, but who can guarantee that. It rained for 4 out of 7 days we were there and there wasn't much to do to entertain our 19month old daughter, other than go for a wet walk around the complex or stay in the apartment. The children's playground was lacking in facilities, ie a couple of rundown swings and no slide and unfortunately the aquarium was closed whilst we were there (at the end of May).
Very quite, peaceful and restful when we went in early October, weather still warm enough to swim in sea and almost empty so had the place almost to ourselves, Villas much nicer than punta verudela resort and worth paying extra for sea view. Although we enjoyed the peace and quiet of visiting at this time of year, only a couple of places to eat still open in resort and supermarket very understocked so had to go further afield for provisions and few of the sports facilities were open and couldn't find anywhere open to rent cycles. But maybe a price worth paying for having a beach and pools almost to ourselves so not a complaint really
Nic place and good service NO
the room was very clean and comfortable, very good price. the hotel was so far from the city center,,there were no good restaurants on site and the market they did have, hardly carried anything.
Good location and value. Swimming Pool was salt water !
Sunset views from our balcony. The room was not cleaned throughout the whole week. Even though staff came into our room after a few days to change the towels, they did not empty the bin or give us more toilet paper.
beautiful surrounding, peaceful, great view from the room, good food in the restaurant.kitchen is well equipped though a tea kettle and toaster would have been appreciated. bed was too hard, and sheets were rough - oven mitts are needed since pots have steel handles.
View and facilities where very nice I would appreciate if the hotel would have wireless Internet connection in Rooms. Is very unconfortable for all to go at the reception.
I liked the location and the sea view from the terrace, it is surely worth staying in the sea view room. Overall the place is very comfortable and is not far from the city.
The view from the terrace and the swimming pool. The tennis courts
The view from the apartment was very beautiful (the seaside). The room was clean. The region was quite quiet. The pool was ok and I also liked the artistic program at the pool during the evenings. I would have liked to have things to wash dishes and floor with.
Hospitality and organisation none
Location was just a few blocks from the ruins and the Old Town. The staff were accomodating and friendly. Hotel was a little hard to find. When I e-mailed the hotel for walking directions from the bus station, we were given directions to the ruins and then told to ask someone on the street. We had to ask 2 different people before getting pointed the right direction. In actuality, directions could have been given with only a few turns and would have been easily found. Insist on directions if you need them.
Location is very favorable, near Marina.Rooms are clean, and good-sized for Europe. Desk personnel are quite cordial and helpful with directions, recommendations, arranging taxis, etc.The STAR is the restaurant. Best Meals ever in Europe! Having to depart.
It's right in the historic center of Pula. It's clean, comfortable and convenient. Good continental breakfast. The parking is a little funky, around back and over a curb. Vandals frequent the area on weekends.
The staff was really helpful and nice. Bathroom clean and nice. Rather cheap. Good with swimming pool and easy to get to swim in the sea. I wish there would have been air condition
everything not a thing ...
The view, the staff and the breakfast Decor was a bit dated, room a bit small
The proximity to the beach, the swimming pools, and location
The price Power Plugs ins
closeness to beach. Good links into town.
Views were lovely, hotel nicely located right on the sea, with a nice little rocky area for swimming/sunbathing. About a 10 min bus ride into Pula itself, we never waited long for a bus, and found it very convenient.
Your front desk staff was very helpful. You have a beautiful location.
close to beach, just stay one night the wifi is only on the looby, poor kitchen just claims to have a half board on the hotel
The hotel is right to the sea and rounded by a relaxing and cool pinewood. The city ant other beaches can be easily reached by car. The rooms we saw are whithout air conditioning equipment, anyway the place is pretty cool because of the wind and the pinewood.
Very good restaurant. Nice courteous staff. Very modern architecture. Some parking in the back. Beach nearby. Outside of the core area -- $20 cab ride to downtown. Two single beds in the room, rather than one double. Difficulty adjusting the air conditioning.
Beautiful hotel built in 1967. Art work and books everywhere. The design and finish work was very interesting and well though out,Excellent breakfast. Decent restaurant.Outstanding staff.Free, off the street parking in back The air conditioning was pretty much ineffectual. The staff did supply us with a fan the second night. Don't recommend in hot weatherThree stories and no elevator (we are seniors)A bit distant from town, 30 minutes walking. There is a bus line close by.
Modern spacious room. Beautifully designed boutique hotel. Owners were warm and gracious. Complimentary coffee and wine when we arrived. Located near large yacht club. Enjoyed a leisurely walk and drank in the scenery. Definitely worth the money!
The hotel is of an excellent location, both close to the train station and the tourist attraction. Our room was dusty ( seems that the room was made up a week ago and nobody lived there since and no cleaning was done before it was occupied) and the facilities need upgrading.
Good Location. Needs some renovation badly. The carpet in the room was full of stains. Its officially no hotel, but a guest house. The Croation tourism doesnt even give it the name "Hotel" !!! That says a lot !!!!!
Hotel close to the main sites in Pula. Very large rooms good shower etc. Hotel a bit dilapidated looking - room balcony appeared to be cracking, so a bit wary of it. Breakfasts a bit repetitive, adn not much selection. Staff not very informative Recommend hotel only if you are sure of what you want to do in Pula and where you want to go.
The location to centre and the bus station is excellent - Besides that it is unfortunately all down hill. Run down, Rotting windows, filthy carpet in the room
Location. Friendly staff
We chose this hotel for the location, which was perfect for us. The breakfast was great. no
Grand old building with fantastic position and views Unfortunately the rooms (at least ours) was in quite poor condition, new carpet and furnishings were badly needed.
Great location. Very close to the water, the Coliseum and the old city. Rooms were huge. Carpet in the room was disgusting. We wore shoes at all times. The room also didn't look very clean. This could be a good hotel with some updating.
Hotel looks great on outside & in the main lobby. Staff are very friendly & helpful. No parking associated with the hotel. The hotel has not been updated in a very very long time. Hallways smell like a gym locker room. The bed & furniture in room are very cheap & old. No a/c or heating system in room. Telephone in room is an old dial phone. The bath tub was very dangerous to get into & out of without potentially hurting yourself. The shower curtain was so mildewed that I could not have it in the tub with me without scum coming off & going everywhere.
Location was excellent Hotel is over priced for standard of hotel
Good staff, good price, and great location. No A/C, rooms in poor condition and with a lack of any main facilities (no kettle, no wi-fi, etc). Beds were also VERY hard. Good enough for a night while exploring Pula, and at least the price point is right.
