Availability of hamman and sauna for the guest as well as gym
The situation was excellent..right in the city centre. The staff were very efficient and helpful. No
The deskstaff permitted us morning check in after our 12 hour flight. A blessing on them. The breakfast and internet were not used due to extravagent cost. I always prefer to have a newspaper in the lobby or the room. Had neither
Staffs are very friendly and helpful. It takes 10 stairs to reach the elevator.
For the one night I stayed this struck me as a delightfully elegant, superbly located, old fashioned hotel that feels rather luxurious with it's thick carpets, old world furniture and generously sized rooms all at a great price.
Perfect location to walk to all the obvious attractions; 5 mins to Opera, 20 mins to Louvre, etc. Staff attentive & friendly > barman in particular was excellent.
Location was great. Hotel was intimate. A nice boutique hotel. Breakfast should have been included. Most guests had breakfast included. On the first day, the restaurant told me it was included, and then I found out we were charged 35 eu pp. Bed were not very comfortable.
Location of hotel, service at hotel, room condition & room facility, everything is satisfactory level. As minor negative impression, noise from other room is loud a little bit.
Location and style Noise of footsteps and child running about from room above. Incorrect account and delay in responding to this - as yet no response.
The staff and the location were excellent Upper level rooms are old.Lower level rooms are modern.
Central location, helpfull staff Noisy bar near the hotel and not easy to sleep till 03:00 am.
It is a very small and intimate and well situated hotel, steps from the Paris Opera and around the corner from the best luxury retailers to be found in and around Place Vendome, in the 1st Arr. It offers free wi-fi and the staff are very
Kind staff, a decent room in the center of the city for a reasonable rate.
Location, hotel staff.
Good location. Close to Roissy bus stop. Nice staffs. The lift is too small.
fine location and personal is very frendly everything is too small - rooms, hall,
the hotel's staff very friendly helpful , let me earlier check in early morning .wifi connection very good , reasonable price, near opera station and open top bus station just step out from the hotel no kettle in the room , have to take hot water from kitchen
very clean, helpful staff, location was also very good
Renovated clean room, good location Constantly hitting my head on a roof beam in my room, bad croissants at breakfast
Staff advised me in English whatever I needed to know; Renovated clean room, Perfect location for shopping, close to the city center No mini-bar in the room
bed too soft
we had a charming rooftop duplex room and the staff were great.
Staff were very helpful and the location was close to everything.
Very close to tube and only few stops from the main train station. 5 minutes walk to Opera (and also the tube is there), nice friends staff, good hotel as its newely refurbished. Easy to find and clean hotel. Pls make sure you book with the hotel taxi's in advance as its 18Euros per person fixed price. TV remotes didnt work, bathrooms were quite tiny compared to other hotels. No Parking or free breakfast included in the deal. Slightly quite expensive for an average hotel but its worth coming back to a clean and nice room at the end of a long day out in Paris.
Staff friendliness and hospitality, plus the rooms are very clean. No international TV (not much), as most programs are in French.
A very nice hotel. Excellent Wi-Fi (fast). Excellent location, clean rooms and toilette.
The room was just excellent, the staff absolutely terrific, breakfast delicious, the location great, I loved it there, made you feel at home and appreciated. Couldn't be more delighted with Hotel Gramont and would definitely go back. The low dollar value made the room expensive by US standards but without question a great value by Paris standards.
The room was spacious by Paris standards. Nice bed and bedding. Good location, fairly central with access to three metro stations. Quiet street. The advertised wireless was unusable. The hotel does have wireless, and I was able to connect, but there was no internet access. I was told by staff that the wireless does not work with non-French laptops (???) and that I'd have to disable my firewall for access. No further assistance was offered. This hotel should not advertise wireless if they in fact do not offer usable wireless! Wireless is very important to many travelers, myself included.
the room is nice, recently renovated and clean. the location is good, close to paris attractions and easily accessible
Hotel has superb location, very near to 2 metro stations, nice restaurants for breakfast and dinner, shopping area of fair prices. It is walking distance to Louvre and Seine. Hotel is located in a small street behing the main street, so it is rather quiet. Room is new, very clean, modern equiped, small but enough space. Good value for money. Staff hotel 5+. The only minuses would be: old and dirty elevator and no curtons on the shower.
locaton was perfect except for the noisy bar at the corner of the street - I was charged on top of the amount which was initiall pre-booked on my card, so trying to resolve his now; the shower in my room did not have doors; the blanket had blood stains.
Staff was ok, location excellent. several public parkingspots within 5min. Rooms were clean. We had a room on the 1th floor. this is actual 1.5 meter above street level....lots of noise from outside such as daily garbage pickup at 5am and loading and unloading of trucks.
Central location, close to all major attractions and excellent metro distance. Clean room Room a bit small but not sure about others as haven't stayed in Paris before. Price of room reasonable at beginning but price got a bit too high
the room was clean and everything was brandnew in the room. the location was very good and the price good value for money. the hotel is still not fully renewed, there is no pc, the traffic is quite loud early in the morning.
No fuss, clean quiet and central The price, and the breakfast was a bit boring especially for the price.
Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of many of the Pairs attractions 10 min to the Louvre and the Seine river. Fantastic shopping at La Fayette 5 mins. Good shuttle bus service with air france shuttle to Opera from CDG Airport.Staff very friendly rooms small but modern and comfortable It is in a side street off the Rue du Richelliu, but safe location
New, modern accommodation. Staff friendly, and accommodating with specific individual needs. Chamber maiding staff were also very friendly, so all in all the human touch was there.Everyone smiled and was friendly. There was a strong smell of paint in the freshly-decorated room we checked into on our first night. The room was otherwise beautiful, modern with lovely decor. However the paint gave my mother a headache, so we requested change of room, and this request was kindly faciliated. Secondly, the noise of the traffic on the street was very loud, but one has to accept this in a 3-star central city hotel. Thirdly, there was no air-conditioning and the rooms got very hot at night, however I heard that the hotel has plans to get air con. in from October on. Fourthly, I would have loved a small kettle in the room to make a cup of tea in the evenings, or in the mornings. Fifth, the price of breakfast (extra) was very expensive at 15 euros for buffet.
Location Clean off the dirt in rooms and modernize them - they look awful and ancient
comfortable hotel, nicely decorated with oak beams in the ceiling. good size bathroom and excellent water pressure. Great location.
easy going kind people
location very good.john at reception was very helpfull, had excelent english and guided us in the right direction when we arrived late at night, also before our departure. stayed in room 48 which is very small and not very clean .It appears the hotel needs refurbishment/modernisation.
Wifi not free
location is indeed very good, specially if you are going to the opera. Besides been very tiny, as most hotels in that price range in Paris, this particular hotel was really run down. You can tell that once upon a time it was a cute but today is really plain old, with stains and things broken everywhere. That said is in a good location and is quite, but I still think you can do much better for the same price; although I agree that is not so easy.
Very nice room!
nice location , friendly, helpful & attentive staff
The area surrounding the hotel has a good selection of restaurants, theatres etc. The room was quite cramped. The air conditioner was either On or OFF, there was no adjustment available. Breakfast consisted of a choice of Natural Yogurt, Cheese portions, bread roll and croissant, with tea, coffee 7 juice. That was the entire selection, no other options were offerred.
The beds are so very comfortable with wonderful linens! Le lit est tres comfortable! The hotel is wonderfully located on a quiet street in a great central location. The staff was very accomodating, especially when we arrived at 9:30AM for a 2:00PM reservation and wanted to drop our bags while we explored the city.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Tea/Coffee facilities in room would be appreciated.
Great location (5 min from Opera and Lafayette). Friendly staff.
Very good location. Very close to the center but still very quite. Small but comfortable room. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
The location just off the main Rue Opera was terrific - very quiet as it was off the main street, but close to the best shopping and attractions in Paris. Hotel was in a very safe area, room was very nice and staff was outstanding. No.
The proximity of key central Paris attractions, particularly if one doesn't want to drive. Bathroom nicely renovated, and spotless. For both my wife and I the included breakfast was more than adequate. Although not unusual for Paris hotels, the rooms are fairly small.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Paris and great for access to many of the major attractions in the city either on foot or by Metro. (Opera Metro station is only a few minutes walk away.) The hotel's staff were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Our room was quiet and well insulated from external noise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would certainly stay here again !
good staff, room is a decent size for a city center (Paris), good quality of bed and bathroom, good location sometimes a bit noisy outside
Liked everything about the hotel. Staff were helpful and polite, its situation is great and love it. Will definitely stay there again.
Staff quickily helped me with a computer issue I had.
Staff was exceptional from check in to room service to the nice man in the lobby that offered me an umbrella for a rainy day. Clean nice room with very nice bathroom, nice deep tub, hot strong shower, bright and stylish. Location was the best, quiet street minutes from restaurants, shops, metro in Opera district. Daughter and I had a great time and will definitely return. Nothing
Staff exceptionally professional and helpful, excellent location, 2 min walk from place de l'opera, nice interior design rooms too small, first night room was too noisy overlooking a side street, second night moved to a room overlooking a courtyard which turned out to be overlooking a wall. no drawers in the second room, and bad quality hangers that kept falling. I wonder if it is hotel(s) policy to give the worst rooms to bookings made through websites like booking.com. was very envious when i peeked into rooms (while they were made up by housekeeping) overlooking the main entrance
Great position, very good to have a lift for luggage and the staff were very friendly and helpful It was great until the last day when some people left early around 5 am and the walls were a little thin which made the sound travel and was a bit disturbing
for Paris it was a decent size and comfortable the bed was hard but not any different from the other european hotels I stayed at
Good location, friendly staff, free lockup if you plan on staying later in the day of your departure.
Fairly handy to Louvre, etc. Clean, quiet, nice breakfast, helpful staff. Would be nice to have shower curtain in bathroom.
The location Dirty room, dirty towels noise from the plumbing
Free wireless was good, staff was helpful. Excellent location. Note that all twin rooms arre facing the street so it was a bit noisy. Pillows were small and uncomfortable, no hairdrier in the bathroom but for a 2 star hotel it is rather good...
The location is convenient. the metro station is juat about 5 min. walk. and the wifi signal is good. the room is kind of small and the facility seems old. The light in the washroom will be off if automatically if it's turned on for sometime. The lock of the room door cannot function well. The ketle in our room was too dirty to use.
Helpful staff who were patient with my basic french language skills! Nothing flash about the room but clean and comfortable. Very close to the Louvre and other places Very small ensuite - especially the shower box. A large person would have had problems.
The staff were excellent as was the location. An extra 10€ is a lot for breakfast. We opted to get our own.
The location is good. The space of the bathroom is too small.
Good location - close to metro, the metro station was the station where I could change lines, near was supermarket, easy to get Notre Dame, easy to get Eifel ....for leisure travel it was important and good. I had coffe maker in my room. When I checked in and arrived to my room - it was not clean up after previous guest. After my complaint at reception personal immediately prepared room in order.... Shampoo and shower gel was in only first day (I stayed 3 nights). But irrespective to things which I did not like, if the rate will be good I can suggest this hotel to friends or after some time choose it again.
not really much...just the availability of the concierge...maybe.. everything! The first room I got was on the last floor (6th): the lift was extremely noisy and bumpy. As soon as I entered in the room I was overwhelmed my the smell of new painting, I tried to open all the windows to remove it but in the end I had a freezing cold and smelly room. I slept there 1 night but I had to change it since in the morning I felt very bad: head-ache, sore throat, nausea. I got a second room at the second floor, much more smaller with a very small window and no heating!!!! I froze for other 2 night (the temperature was around 0 degrees). Horrible!
Friendly and helpful staff, modern vibe, clean and comfortable with the most comfortable bed and quilt I've stayed in.
I liked that the room was big comparing the others hotels in Paris I ever stayed, the furniture is new, a big flat TV screen, tea and instant coffee in the room. I did not like the neighborhood (it was a little dangerous for a single woman), there was no heat in the room, they were not always at the reception and it felt like anyone can enter into the hotel, the pillows are too hight for me and they did not have others, the room was "half-cleaned" every day, they did not take good care of my things (the luggages were dirty after I took them from the luggage room; in an evening, at the returning, some of my things were on the floor).
We were able to check into our room at midday which we didn't expect. It's very close to the metro The cleaning staff came into our room at 10am without knocking.
The size of the room, nice staff, close to shopping area
close to Metro most of rooms are facing internal lightwell which make people uncomfortable living there
good room spec. good location. limited breakfast option for 14€
Paris hotels are often disappointing: nice entrance, but the rooms..Not the case of this Hotel: great rooms, almost a "design" hotel, very good bathroom. The position is also a plus.
the staff in the evening did not speak english and the bed sheet was dirty.
Small room with very tiny bath. Wifi didn't function on the first day of my stay.
Room was clean and well maintained. Staff did not want to assist with possible change in my reservation. For any change in dates they directed me to deal with booking.com and did not want to meet my request for a shorter stay.
Staff is very kind and helpful, facilities in the room are a real add-on. Price is in line with the position of the Hotel in the city, which is perfect.
Location Size of the room/bed (small) and no reception staff
Great location, ended up getting a fairly good price only to find others got better. Quiet, hasw some charm, near to lots of funky eateries, 300 meters to Louvre, 3 blocks to opera bus lines tour buses etc. The manager is a complete a**hole!! Staff is typically French, meaning that if they have time they will help, if not, go fly a kite. They charge $us30 a day to use the wifi..how cheap can you get?? What an insult. No amenities in the room (coffee, cheap shampoo, lousy towels, typically small Euro rooms, old mattresses in need of replacement,
Great location. Cool decor.
Excellent location, friendly staff, big room and bathroom, good breakfast, cleanness. Nothing
Friendly staff and cozy environment, clean compared to other Paris hotels. Room too cramped for that price.
Very clean and location
Good location, nice rooms not possible to put luggage under the bed to get more space in the room.
Staff was great and the breakfast service was very good. Room was small and dated.
Some staff members were so helpful and close to the metro and city centre It wasn't so comfortable breakfast and bathroom wasn't proper
From the reviews on the site the hotel seemed quite nice. However, when we arrived to our room we were in shock. The room wasnt clean, everything was old and many things were broken. Not at all what we expected at € 170,00 a night! Also breakfast was poor. Dont go here people! See all above!!!
There was very quiet.
Location, price, size of the room, breakfast This hotel only appear a good hotel at a first look, but it's enough to go beyond the hall to see that it's far from it. Every detail is fake and made to cover the uglyness laying underneath. Anyway the worst thing was the stink coming from the toilet (that was without any window or fan) that was spreading through the whole room; we partially solved this issue keeping the room window opened all day long, but this workaround it's not easily applicable in winter or summer. I cannot imagine what could mean to have that stink in the room without the possibility to constantly keep the window open. Of course I'll never come back to this hotel: its main advantage (the location) its not so important in a well served city like Paris
The location is good and the staff was very friendly. Quiet location and rooms are small but very nice.
Convenient location. -
We enjoyed the size of the room on 7th floor (1 of 2), other floors (4 rooms) might have been quite small. Staff, particularly Celine very helpful and welcoming. Free wifi a definite plus! We had no car, so parking not an issue for us. Easy walk to Opera or Quatre-Septembre metro stations. Also quite close to Roissy Bus to CDG. Breakfast at Eu13 each too expensive, we ate outside for half price.
The location Old room not well renovated
The location is excellent, just in between the Opera and the Louvre. We had a very cosy 4 bed-room to share with our kids of 4 and 7 years old. The hotel has a very nice and quiet lobby and offers free wifi. Just around the corner you'll find a lot of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately we did not had a twinbed but two separate singles next to eachother. The room was functional, cosy and clean, but not very spacious.
location in Paris
Very convenient location for the price. Room size was bit on the smaller side.
Friendly staff and ready to help. within walking distance of shopping area and Opera metro just close by. The wifi was intermittent
Location was very good!
Excellent location, and great value for money. Although only a small public area, this hotel is ideal for a one / two night stop-over if you are not planning on spending too much time in the hotel
the hotel has a very good location and I enjoyed been close to the centre poor breakfast
Location, friendly staff
Great location, lovely room and very friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was also very good. Free wi-fi would be great or a flat charge for 24 hours.
the location is very suitable for first time travellers to paris, easy to get to anywhere. the majority of the staffs were very nice and helpful, always ready to help out tourists with helpful information. what they lack in size of the rooms, they make it back on their quality serivce attitudes. the breakfast were very nice as well. the size of the rooms were a bit small. the tv channels did not offer more choices.
Almost averything. Rooms a little small, but nice...
Modern and well situated No variety in the breakfast buffet
location, staff courtesy lift is far too toght and slow, room quite small
It was horrible !!!! i think also it should be just 1star hotel not a 4star hotel, i never been anywhere like this horrible place its just llike a zoo !!!! the hotel with out any star !!!!!!
V. Friendly Staff. Room was big for Paris. Central Location. V. Nice Area
Location was fantastic and the Hotel was high in quality
Location, location, location
Good location within easy reach of Paris' key points of interest; clean room; quiet hotel. Room a tad on the small side but then again you do not go to Paris to spend your waking hours sitting in your hotel room!
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Owner and staff spoke English and that was a great help. Over all, I felt quite welcomed and they where there to help tourists to find the way and suggest places to see, eat at, and make the most of the stay. There was no way to fit a family with four in one room, so overall cost for our stay was really high. So I may not recommend it for a family for that reason only. But for a couple, definately yes. I wish they had a hot family so that we can make a tea on our own. All I want is an access to a hot water somewhere in the hotel.
Location and cleanliness were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
The reception staff were very friendly, informative and really helped us find our way around Paris. The location was fantastic - 5minutes walk from the Louvre Rooms were very small, but that's typical of these small Paris Hotels
The place is in very good situation and realy quiet at nigth, The room are very clean and in good status of maintenance. The price is little expensive but it is the same in all the hotels of this area in the middle of Paris.
friendly hotel staff, clean room & great location
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for seeing the major tourist sites.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and helped us find family-friendly places to eat. The location was very central, just a short walk from the Opera, the Louvre, and many other sight-seeing places The furnishings were dated, definitely have not been updated in quite some time. The room faced the road and Paris traffic never really stops.
A small hotel in a great location minutes away from many main points of interest in Paris. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. I had a decent single bed room which was quiet. Carpets could do with a bit of a revamp as they show clear signs of ageing, otherwise room and bathroom were clean. Poor breakfast at the hotel but many good food places close by.
Very central location, walking distance from the Louvre, Opera... Exceptionally quiet for a hotel in Paris. Some renovation in the staircase but no disturbance or noise. Friendly staff. Small room
Fantastic location next to Opera, with lots of Japanese restaurants around the corner. Helpful staff and reasonable prices (105 euros for last-minute double-room booking). Very small elevator for 2 persons maximum (150kg) so either leave big baggages/baby carts downstairs or carry them up the stairs (7 floors I believe).
Very helpful and nice hotel staff. Good aircondition. Hotel is well located, short distance from three different metro stations. The "cupboard size" elevator !
Staff was exceptional and the location of the hotel was great!
The staffs were very decent and actively to assist those you needed as they could and make you feel comfortable. They also would introduce the famous place you must have been in Paris when you arrived. All the receptions were friendly and nice. Nicolas was kind and polite. Pierre was good at his amiable manner and excellent The housekeeping would not actively renew the bathing goods. Sometimes, the towels would be smelled cigarette smoke. I agree the bed sheet would not clean every day. But if the bed sheet was dirty, you had to renew. Further, I didn’t like they put the pillows and quilts on the floor when they smoothed the bed sheet.
Presentation and pricing of the hotel is very good, especially for Parisian standards. Staff were outstanding; from the helpfulness at the front desk to the cleaniing and breakfast staff. Rooms are small but comfortable and functional. Rooms suitable for family with one or two small children or one teenager. Our room was prepared each day without fault, a credit to the staff! Current renovations are well worth the effort to lift the image and standard. We stayed in more expensive and higher star rating hotels in Paris that were below the standard presented here. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet but very central part of Opera enabling access to many popular tourist attractions, metro, shopping, restaurants and cinema. Noise from water pipes in the wall woke me on the last morning.
Price/quality ratio breakfast
Access to centre of Paris. Free WiFi - we could check restaurants and make reservations using internet (Skype). The standard rooms are a little too small, but then this is reflected in the price.
Very good location,cleanliness,new renovation 6th floor,little room
Good location. Located in quite little block within busy Opera area. Very neat, looks newly renovated. Helpful staff that can speek english. Shower head was loose and made showering a bit of a challenge. Noise of boiler for central heating system was very loud and early in the mornings (I was on the 2nd floor.)
It is clean and well positioned in a quiet area
wifi and the people were quite friendly and tried to help me!
Near the underground and near many attractions. The room was tiny
comfort and value for money!
The room was clean. Unable to watch TV because there were no English channels. The electric plugs were located under a table near the floor-very hard to use.
Anything Not qualified personnel
The hotel is well situated, in the wider historical centre of Paris, but in a relatively quiet street. The elevator was quite noisy and unfortunately people from the neighbouring room were using it several times in the early morning.
Very helpful staff. Quiet location but easy access to Paris. Clean tidy and would recommend

The hotel is located in a lively neighborhood within walking distance of many of the must-see attractions of Paris. The rooms are tiny, the elevator is too small for anyone with claustrophobia, the stairs are steep and narrow, but we had a great time.
Fantastic location in a wonderful neighborhood. Close to Metro, museums, cafes.
just the location the windows are loking on the other hotels room!!!!
The staff were really nice, location was perfect, very close to metro station. Very small rooms, noisy ac.
friendly staff, clean rooms and location!
The hotel is closed to many attractions and the location is optimal in my opinion. As the room was on the court side, it was quiet from the traffic point-of-view. OK, it is Paris and hence expensive. The room was small and there wa no cable TV so that TF1, M6, Arte and so on were missing. The room maids and the customers were slamming the doors very early in the morning.
Location was particularly good. My room was facing the street and therefore quite noisy and even more so during one night when the bars were emptying. However it was a Friday night and, had I been younger, I would probably have been out there making some of the noise!
Location was very good Yes, there were more likes than dislikes - not at all what the pictures showed, very outdated
The hotel was in a great location. An easy trip from most anywhere and you're situated in the middle of the city. The staff were welcoming and accomodating. The room was small, but still very clean and exceptionally quiet. Small hotel rooms are a way of life in Paris. You don't go to Paris to stay in your room all day.
charming hotel and very helpful personel, nice location
I couldn't recommend this hotel. We have booked the room for 1+1 nights in June 2010. Everything was ok when we have arrived. Hotel is small but rooms are very nice. After 1 night we have gone to one day excursion to the casle on the South of France. We have reminded on the reception that we will come back the day after tomorrow and that we have booked room for the day after tomorrow. But when we have arrived men on the reception has said that the hotel do not have rooms, in spite of the fact that we have had printed confirmation from booking.com. It was middle of June and I have spent a lot of time to find other hotel. So - hotel is nice, but - you can not be sure that you will live in this hotel.
