Loved our deluxe suite room that had sliding doors which kept each room very quiet even when watching tv with the volume turned up in one room. The push button controls were really cool for the lights and privacy settings. Enjoyed the free breakfast at Atrio and the friendly service from everyone there especially the host. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and were able to accommodate a late checkout of 2pm for us. Appreciated the unique designs and architecture of the hotel. Liked that it was located right next to the World Trade Center, and of course Shake Shack. Liked using the exercise room and business center which were very clean and well maintained. Overall it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Nothing really except that there was no swimming pool or entertainment room with a pool table or table tennis.

We found the staff at The Embassy very polite and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. Excellent having access to the internet in the business centre. Given the price of the suite we felt the bathroom, whilst clean, was rather shabby.

The personel was very courteous. I like the complimentary bar from 5:30 to 7:30 and the choice and freshness of the breakfast Was awaken by a fire alarm at 4:00 am

Very nice hotel, plenty of room, nice bathroom with nice translucent shower -- you typically don't get this much space in New York. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed the 1960's metal robots behind the lobby checkin desk. It's located in a good neighborhood, if not a bit generic. There are also a lot of nearby restaurant options, and it's a short walk to other areas with even more options. Bed was very comfortable. Lower floors can be loud with little insulation from traffic, including car stereos. I would request a high floor. Breakfast in the hotel was ruled not very good by both folks in our party, and it was rather expensive, so I'd probably eat elsewhere. However you don't pick a hotel for the restaurant and everything else was otherwise great.
A trendy, new hotel with very helpful staff. Great room with nice amenities (HDTV, well-stocked mini bar, etc.) and a large bathroom with Kiehl toiletries. We especially liked the area as it was quiet at night with no loud bars or nightclubs either on the property or adjacent to it. It is just a few blocks from restaurants like Nobu and Tribeca Grill. The property sits directly above the Chambers St. Red Line (1, 2, 3 train) so you can get uptown quickly (Time Sq/Theather Dist and Columbus Circle). SoHo is one mile north/northeast and the Meat Packing Dist is two miles north/northwest of the hotel. The hotel guests we met appeared to be well-educated professionals who were quiet during the evening hours. We'll definitely stay here again. The room door was set to close and did so very forcefully. It should be adjusted so that the weight of the door does not close so quickly and forcefully. It was difficult to bring in/take out luggage. Also, the thermostat/room temp control was difficult to operate. However, the large comforter was warm enough that the room temperature issue did not present a problem in getting a good night's rest. Plus, I'm confident that had I/we found these problems to be more annoying that the helpful staff at the Smyth would have addressed them quickly; we were too busy enjoying NYC to be phoning in complaint calls to the front desk.

The proximity to our friends 10 minutes away and the easy walk to Chinatown, great restaurants as well as the subway.I liked the modern decor and the ability to open the windows as well. We were offered a 50% discount to stay over on Sunday night. We were not there long enough!

the location was key. the rooms were decorated well and loved the tub in the bathroom. there was a problem with the temp of the room. it was 81 degrees and we couldn't set the thermostat. we asked for the front desk to check in at 8:30 and when we got home at 2:30- it was 79 degrees. it took time for someone to come up and fix and by that time- it was 3am.
I asked if the hotel had any rooms with a bathtub. They made sure to give me the one room that had one. The staff and door men were really nice and helpful. The hotel lobby was under construction. While I didn't mind not being able to have a working restaurant or bar in my hotel, I did mind that the construction began at 7 am. The pounding and jack-hammering woke me up. They should at the very least wait until 9 am. It made me rush out the door rather than relax before starting my day. On my last day (after being woken up by the construction noise ) I threw on my clothes and just left. I requested to the staff I should be compensated. My phone didn't work very well in the hotel. I found myself going up and down the elevator to go outside to use it. Why charge $15 a day for Wifi? I also had trouble using the elevator cards. 5 and 6 times before the little green light came on so I could push my floor button.
Attentiveness and responsiveness of staff, the room, which was a joy to in which to spend time, and the quality of service throughout the stay. I'm always anxious at Smyth about having a room with sufficient peace and quiet that I can enjoy my stay, but this time I had a room on Floor 8 that was not close to the lift - very relaxing.

Housekeeping staff were very nice. I stay there because it's near my son. I would probably stay somewhere less expensive if it weren't around the corner from him. The breakfast are overpriced and the food not that great although the presentation is good.

The room was very comfortable with light and modern decore (quite different than most NY hotels). It is a new hotel so the furniture and fixtures are still in good shape. The nearest subway station is around the corner and Soho is five minutes away by foot. Free Wi Fi internet service. The location is not as convenient as mid-town hotels for visiting the most popular museums, theatres and Central Park. Tribeca itself is not a very inspiring neighborhood. Most streets in the hotel's close vicinity contain warehouses and retail business, and therefore are not very attractive. The hotel's central space (where they serve breakfast) is dark and often cold.
The Roxy is an indulgence in the best of ways. It's charming and comfortable. Well appointed and close to transit. The staff is friendly and attentive. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was delicious. We were sort of sad we went elsewhere for Sunday brunch... The spread is amazing. There are few negatives to the Roxy, honestly. Location is good, but not great- safety was not a concern. Just don't expect to walk out the door and be somewhere, you'll need to hop the train or a cab. The space is comfortable, but the pillows (like most hotels') were worthless.
Good location and good size hotel
Centrally located so many different burroughs were close by (SoHo, Greenwich Village, Chelsea). We had a king room and it was very tiny. Nice accomodations just small. There was a little mold in shower. And the shower is rainfall style positioned on a tall ceiling so you couldn't adjust the direction of spray if you wanted to.
Very nice new and clean rooms. Quite noisy especially on the Street side, they tried to charge me with a breakfast I did not have, staff a bit unfriendly.
Hotel was clean and well presented. Breakfast good although pricey. Beds very comfy. Staff generally pleasant. Location good for downtown areas only It was very noisy (traffic) and room was opposite the lift so some internal noise as well. We were not charged the agreed booking price despite pointing this out twice. Air condtioning very noisy/ineffective so forced to open windows at night hence increased noise.

Second time staying here in 3 months. Love the location and quality. Able to check in early and check out late this trip, which really helped our itinerary (was rushing into town to go straight to my workshop, so it was nice to check in quickly and be able to put bags in room instead of leaving with concierge). Also was able to upgrade to a king bed since my boyfriend came down with me last minute. Staff was super accommodating. Close to 1/2/3 and C/E trains, as well as a couple blocks from 6/N/R/Q/W trains, so it was easy to get around to east or west side. I'm a light sleeper and find these rooms to be on the quieter side (we were facing the back of hotel, which faces downtown). No fridge in room. Definitely a business feel to hotel, but didn't really make a difference to me. In fact, I chose the Sheraton bc in NYC hotels can vary widely and I found that chain hotels give a good consistent experience no matter the location.

Front desk employees were awesome and so helpful! Very minor issues (light burning out) were addressed immediately. The restaurant attached to the hotel has no affiliation with Sheraton but we didn't like it- they were rude and took advantage of us.
Clean, convenient, quiet Interior, reasonable price for the location. Tiny room, tiny bathroom, antique elevator, long hallway with turns and stairs, loud 4 a.m. garbage trucks.
We were hosting a conference at a nearby bank, which was only four blocks from the hotel. Therefore, it was very convenient business-wise.
The hotel was really clean and met the basic points which was a big plus (especially after hearing that other hotels in the city contain cockroaches...). Also, the location was decent and close to the subway so it was really easy to get around in the city. The staff was also friendly and I liked how there were computers in the lobby that the guests could use. The rooms are tiny! I felt like I was back in the college dorm rooms. For the rate of the room, I was expecting bigger rooms. Personally, I thought the value of the room wasn't there for what we paid but the rooms were decent and if you're in the City, I suppose all the rooms are going to be smaller and more expensive.
Air conditioner undersized and loud.
The location was wonderful, right next to the A and C and 1, 2, 3 lines. All less than a block from the hotel. The rooms were cozy w/ great room temperature control. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Starbucks right next to hotel, which was great because they didn't have coffee or fridges in the rooms. The hotel was doing construction on the floors below us and they started hammering, drilling, and sawing very early, so sleeping in on vacation was impossible. What really annoyed me was while checking out the guy ahead of me who was also checking out made a big stink about the noise and he was comped a night. I complained and only got any apology. Perhaps, if I was not a young Hispanic woman, but a rich looking white dude I would have gotten comped too. The water temperature was hard to control as it was either frigid or scalding.

Location, next to the subway and Brooklyn Bridge. Staff, very friendly and welcoming. My room, a loft, was creative. Great historic pics on the walls. Fitness Center. Access to computers. Only that I took too much time booking it and the price on my website went up a little, but that's my doing.
It's modern, clean, great location!!! If you are a family of 4 or less is great! We are a family of 5. The room is too small, we didn't have space for an extra bed so one of us had to sleep on the floor... And there's no space for bags, luggage or anything extra...

the location was perfect for my needs The staff was way too rude..particularly the maintenance guy. BTW who ever needed a maintenance person in a hotel. Those rooms are supposed to be already perfect. At first, they sent me to a room in which I had to use stairs to get to my bed and my head would bump against the ceiling when I reached the top. Since the AC was located at the bottom of the room and fan not directly on top of the bed, it felt really hot upstairs. When I complained that this room didn't look anywhere close to what I saw in the pictures, at first they said all rooms are booked. Then, they finally relented after I pushed more. The other room was small in size but once again was hot and I had to deal with the same maintenance guy. All night, the place was very noisy with people going in and out, the doors seemed to be clanging all night.
Location near subway was extremely convenient. Rooms were spacious by New York standards; the bed was very high quality and firmness could be adjusted differently for the two sides. The hotel was located near many excellent restaurants encompassing a wide variety of cuisines and price ranges. Walls were a little thin, so one could hear everything going on in the hall outside and arguments in the next room.

The price was right for this great hotel with big rooms for the city. The staff was great, the rooms were modern and large, coffee is always available in the lobby, and the beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect. It is right next to a subway station and just blocks away from several cool spots. I would stay here again. I cannot say anything that I did not like.
Hotel is located near subway entrance, Soho, Chinatown. Everything is at the door step. Staff was very nice. I would for sure stay here again.
Good location for shopping downtown & walking distance to Chinatown & Little Italy. Subway right there. Was on the fifth floor, very quiet. The doors to the rooms are very heavy, and difficult to open and close.

This is a newer hotel with friendly staff and large, clean rooms. The problem I encountered here were several odd features that made it very difficult to sleep; namely, 1- they dont have full curtains on the windows- only a thin gauze-like drape that allows all the lights from outside to stream into the windows all night. Unfortunately, I had several giant lights aimed almost directly into my 2nd floor room the entire night and I had to sleep with my back facing the window the whole night. And 2- their heater is a hot air fan that is practically as loud as a plane engine- even at the "low" setting. I was forced to turn off the heater and woke up freezing under the thin blankets. That said, the location is good, and it is attached to a decent pizza bar/restaurant and next to several subway lines. If I went here again, I'd bring an eye cover and extra blanket.
My body was on west coast time and I tried to take a shower at 2am but there was no hot water. They also ding you an extra $5 for usable internet.
We like to stay in this hotel is clean and very friendly
