Staff was great! Pros: The staff at The Roosevelt Hotel was great! There wasn’t a single staff member that was not friendly and willing to help with anything you may need. Cons: The hotel needs to renovate the hotel room bathrooms. Specifically, the tile in the bathtubs needs to be ripped out and the noticeable mold needs to be addressed.
A place built in the past but wasn't updatedPros: LocationCons: Service is awful, no room service, elevators services are horrible! You have to add 10' to your time to deal with
Pros: Really cleanCons: N/a
Upset about fees and noise from housekeepers before 6amPros: The lobby is beautiful and the location is great. Cons: Upon arrival to an already expensive hotel, I was told I had to pay a MANDATORY fee for "free wifi and a 10% food voucher and gym use". I didn't want any of that, but was forced to pay anyway. I was woken up by housekeeping next door at 5:55am - no apology when I left at 6am because I couldn't sleep. The room was dusty and not very clean and I ended up taking the stairs from the 12th floor because the elevators were sloe, though those issues were nothing compared to the terrible hours and ridiculous fees. Do not stay here.
Filthy, falling apart, not secure. Gross. Pros: History. Cons: Everything. Gross.
Busy hotel Busy SeasonPros: Due to the busy Christmas Season the only complaint was getting an elevator. But we had the same problem in Bloomingdales & Saks. They all took forever. Other than that, hotel was great. Room was large & clean! Cons: Elevators were too slow due to crowds on them.
Pros: Breakfast was very nice. Cons: Business center should be no charge for people staying at the hotel
Cons: More dining, social areas
Needs definate renovation, NOT a 4 star hotel!!!!Pros: The bathroom was in very bad shape. The mirror was broken, the bath tub had dents, the floor tiles add cracks & the furniture was worn out. The room had no thermostat, you had to manualy get up & turn on & off the fan quell.
The staff were nice!
Great location with a fair pricePros: Close proximity to Grand Central Station, Time Square, Rockefeller Center. Cons: Bathrooms are very small because it is an older hotel
Great location, good price, staff needs a tune upPros: The location for the cost is imcomparable. I will definitely put this on the list next time. Cons: Front desk and bar staff were not service oriented. Bar prices are... well... it's NYC.
Old fashioned elegancePros: Historic property. They don't make them like this any more.Cons: Elevators were very slow and jam packed with people at peak hours. Also, there are lots of stairs in lobby making accessibility a challenge for disabled.
