    The Hotel Carter, at 250 West 43rd Street, offers affordable accommodation in Midtown Manhattan. From its bright marquee welcoming guests to Times Square, the hotel rises 24 stories as a classic New York stepped skyscraper. Designed by famed New York architect Emery Roth, it originally opened in 1930 as the Dixie Hotel. Famous patrons have included Patsy Cline and American magician Harry Blackstone. Many of the Hotel Carter's rooms have views directly onto Times Square, and guests can watch the famous New Year's Ball Drop from the hotel.

    Comfort on a budget

    Hotel Carter offers many convenient services, including 24-hour front desk service, multi-lingual staff, and concierge services for tickets and transportation. A computer center and a popular coffee shop are located in the lobby. Rooms have basic amenities (including cable TV), comfortable decor, and private bathrooms. Children ten years old and younger stay free. The hotel is close to public transportation and is just a block away from the Port Authority Bus Station.

    The Hotel Carter is in the heart of the Theater District and just steps away from the Majestic Theatre, the Hard Rock Cafe, Times Square, and Broadway. A short walk takes visitors to the United Nations Building, Radio City Music Hall, and the fabled shopping of Macy's and Fifth Avenue, alongside many other attractions.
