the hotel room size is amazing. the breakfast is good. pool is good. perfect for a honeymoon. has a nice lazy feel abt it
The slow pace and relaxed atmosphere were the two most prominent features of our stay at the Liwa Hotel. The quality and diversity of the food menus was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the alfresco dining option. Both the gym and heated outdoor pool facilities were appreciated. A perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend. N/A
no internetaccess in the rooms,no life guard so we were not able to use the pool.not a 4 star hotel!!
Reception with bad face
Location and the swimming pool No alcohol licence
The peace and quiet. It is a place with nothing but.
Very relaxed hotel to stay with children. Lovely pool, large rooms and good food. The trip into the desert (which was organised through the hotel) was great although quite expensive. We found the staff at reception a bit vague - almost as if they were all very new (maybe they were). The staff in the restaurant were better.
restaurant hugely improved to previous occasions. staff lovely and very attentive. nice range of food and very fresh fruit juices no complaints. would have liked a glass of wine with dinner though
The fact that on check in they offered us adjoining rooms as we were a family of 4 It lacked atmosphere and needed a good overhaul. Several cockroaches seen round about and the pool had building work round it
The hilltop location overlooking the dunes is excellent, though the contrary to the claim on the website, the rooms do not have views over the dunes and the ability to see the view from the hotel grounds is limited. Following a recent review of hotel ratings in the UAE, the hotel is now rated three stars (the Danat website still states 4 stars). The rooms were large and pleasant with balconies, though not especially luxurious. The minibars were empty. Other than the buffet breakfast, the food and beverages at the restaurant were good value for money and the pool and grounds were very clean and pleasant. The hotel does not organise trips into the dunes, but gives the telephone details for a private operator. The room rate was poor value for money compared with higher starred hotels in the UAE.
