The shuttle driver was the sweetest ever. Tip well!
Such uncomfortable beds. No pillow top. Just a cardboard like hard bed.
Know What You're Getting Into!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building looks fancy but dated/tired. The rooms were large, and we had a great view (12th floor, looking towards the lake). The location was great... easy to walk to lots of attractions and restaurants. And the view from the rooftop was terrific!
PLEASE NOTE: THE POOLS ARE SEGREGATED BY GENDER! I'm a single dad with a daughter, so this meant we couldn't go swimming (unless I had her go on on her own, which I wasn't going to do, since she's 12). They do a "family swim" like every other Friday evening or something. Also, the rooftop bar was closed on Sunday and Monday (the precise days we were there). The shower was ok, except every few minutes it would shoot a stream of very hot water, followed by some very cold water. The "pillowtop" bed wasn't really that comfortable... just moderately okay. Also, they say there is a "business casual" dress code for many of the common areas, so my daughter and I didn't feel comfortable just strolling around the place in our shorts and t-shirts. If I had known about the separate mens'/womens' pools, I would've booked somewhere else.
The bed was a nughtmare
Out of date and over priced
Walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, and things to do
Bed were very uncomfortable, decor very out of date, bathroom looked like a public restroom right down to the toilet
Friendly service, access to workout facilities. Convenient location
Did not include any type of continental breakfast.
Athletic facilities with stay in Hotel, view of MKE, location, thermostat controlls, bed was comfortable.
TV too small and too far from bed to be seen with any sort of modern clarity, rooms need updating, felt like retirement home.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The amenities exceeded our expectations. Aside from the gyms, and swimming pools, there are also racquetball and squash courts. The lobby bar was serving delicious and generously poured cocktails. Above all that, the reason we will be returning is due to the incredible staff. Every single employee we interacted with was beyond reproach. I feel like I made several new friends in Milwaukee. We couldn't be happier with our stay at the MAC. Cheers!
Good clean room.
Room 1021 was like a mini suite. There was a door separating the living room area from the bedroom/bath area. It wasn't just a large open area with beds on one side and a sitting area on another side.
The only thing that I didn't like was to be billed for parking. I could easily pay the $15 charge. But it was my belief that the parking was covered in the room reservation. No one clearly said, "Here is your parking pass and you will be billed $15 when you checkout." Perhaps they glossed over that part when I checked in. Point being: I did not request the parking pass. They simply gave it to me when I received the room keys. If I would have know about the charge, I would have simply parked on the streets.
The location was excellent in downtown Milwaukee, with reasonable parking close by. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and clean with a spacious bathroom.
Location is great, rooms are nice, friendly staff
