Pros: Nice place, friendly people and good free breakfast.
Pros: Staff great.
Room attractive and spacious.
Room well-equipped to charge and use portable devices.
Bed comfortable and plush.
Cons: NO NEGATIVES.
Pros: Spacious room and friendly helpful staff. Clean and up dated room . Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: No negatives
Pros: Availability of a to go breakfast, despite the fact that the girl behind the front desk was quite rude when asked about this. (young man who did help was extremely pleasant)
Cons: Breakfast disorganized. Fruit was not good at all
Pros: The room was spacious and very comfortable. The room had available many charging outlets including free WiFi for all your media devices. Microwave/Refrig was really nice. We especially liked the breakfast offered each day of our stay. Very nice selection including eggs, sausage/bacon, oatmeal, fruit, waffles, juice etc. There was something for everyone. Spacious eating area or you could go back to your room. They had a very nice indoor pool area also.
Cons: The room did not have lights/light that could be dimmed to a lower light level. This feature would be nice if you have someone in your party that was sleeping in.
Pros: A fabulous hotel in every regard. I stay at 4-5 star hotels in various cities at least once per year, and there's no question this is their equal. Particularly liked the abundance of outlets, including several built into the bed headboards (USB ports as well). No need to search for connections for phones/laptop. The place was spotless and the hot breakfast ws very good.
Pros: From the minute I arrived I felt welcome. The staff greeted me with a smile and helped me with everything I needed. I brought a late night dinner to heat up and they gave me a REAL plate. They had snacks to offer... Even other guests were welcoming and helpful! What a great environment!!
Pros: THE BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST I EVER HAD AT A MOTEL
Pros: Absolutely wonderful! great staff, beautifully decorated and very clean rooms. Very cool European design ! Great breakfast with daily menu changes. Very competetively priced! we will be back
Cons: He beds were firm....everyone has their preference so nothing wrong
Pros: Our car broke down and was getting repaired on the day of check-out. The guy at the desk extended our check-out for an extra hour while our car was repaired. No charge. Every one was super friendly and helpful, our room was clean and the breakfast was good. We will definitely stay here again!
Pros: We liked the location (although Marquette is small so any location works), and the view. If we didn't already have breakfast plans their breakfast buffet looked quite nice. We love visiting Marquette and were initially excited to stay here for the first time.
Cons: Ran out of hot water (second person taking reasonable shower at 8:30 a.m. - seriously, had conditioner-crunchy hair for the balance of the day... ), so-so bed, and the only chair to look out onto the lake from was the rolling desk chair. All of this could be overlooked if the price wasn't three times other motel/hotels, and if the (otherwise smiling although somewhat uncoordinated amongst each other ) staff had simply asked how my stay was at checkout. They didn't, instead they questioned me -- twice -- as to why I wanted a printout of the invoice as we had no incidentals (because I didn't get a printout under my door, and because I wanted one.). As a Hilton Honors member this is one "newer" Hampton that caught me a bit off guard.
Pros: Location close to lower harbor and downtown were ideal.
Right on the lakeshore bike path.
Breakfast better than most hotels.
Surprisingly nice exercise room/facility.
Fully accessible pool
Decent WiFi speed
Price comparable to Landmark
Will definitely stay again next time I'm in MQT
Cons: For the money, I would have hoped for better pillows.
Pros: Loved the waterfront view - although we didn't have it in our room.
Pros: Clean, comfortable, extremely affordable. Very friendly staff in a good location.
Pros: Clean. Comfortable. Good value
Cons: Weak air conditioner
Pros: We stayed in one of the suites. It was a very comfortable stay at an affordable price.
Pros: Good location, friendly Host, very clean. Good value. We have stayed there when in Marquette for over 30 years now. Never been disappointed.
Pros: The pool area was nice and clean. Continental breakfast was perfect, had a large selection! Great hotel for families.
Cons: We needed extra towels because we were only given two for a family of three, we were asked to come to the front desk and we would have liked them brought to our room. We wished our room had a king bed.
Pros: The separate cottage was nice and roomy.
Cons: Noise from traffic and heater (I think). It sounded like hail hitting the roof.
Cons: The rooms facing the highway get all the road noise. It sounds like the window is open. We walked in the room and immediately walked back to the desk and asked for a room facing away from the highway. The clerk refused to move us because their policy was that housekeeping must clean the room after you enter and the did not have housekeepers available. I asked her to let the manager know we were dissatisfied with that response. Never heard from the manager. We do not recommend staying here. This was Sunday 8/21/16 around 9:00 pm (in case the manager wants to identify the clerk on duty).
Pros: I liked that every morning they were busy bright and early cleaning the rooms. They left the doors open and you could see them cleaning and smell the cleaning products. You didn't have to doubt that beds were changed as you saw them collecting sheets. The breakfast area was spotless and constantly being stocked. Often it ran pass 10:00am if there was a large number still eating. The staff was friendly and helpful from checking in, to housekeeping and maintenance when I accidentally shut off the switch to the refrigerator. Beds were comfortable. Room was spacious. Don't judge it by its cover. May not be the most luxurious but a great value and great find.
Cons: The outside of the building and the rooms are a little out dated. But mattresses were newer. The lighting could have been a bit brighter. Really no complaints.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Needed more choices for breakfast besides cereal, and bread related products(french toast, waffles, bagels, sweet rolls). Maybe eggs, sausage.
Pros: Friendly staff, easy parking, close to town, refrigerator in room. We didn't use any of the amenities outside our room, so I can't comment on that, but overall, we've little to complain about.
Cons: The bed wasn't the most comfortable, and the "breakfast" was lacking, but otherwise the accommodations were what we were looking for.
Cons: I personally didn't find the beds that comfortable.
Pros: Everything was good. Comfort, clean, friendly, continental breakfast, pools. What's not to like?
Pros: Helpful and courteous staff. Rooms were clean! Many nice restaurants right next door.
Pros: The room was very large, large enough for us to set up our 4 and a half month old's pack and play and still have enough room to walk around comfortably. The staff was also very accommodating and nice. We checked in after midnight on the night of our stay and it was no problem.
Cons: Although the room was clean, it smelled a bit like sewage. The window was small so there was not a lot of light, and the room overall could use a lot of updating. The shower head was mounted a bit low, so you had to bend backwards to rinse your hair under the shower, but the water pressure was good.
Pros: Was a nice central location and easy access to lots of places to eat.
Pros: Great location. Coffee pot was individual serve. Nice
Cons: We arrived late 10 PM. pool just closed for kids. Later hours would have been awesome
Pros: Great channel selection. Good in room coffee. Good wifi.
Cons: Hassle at check-in. No breakfast.
Pros: Good service and very clean bathroom.
Pros: Nothing really. I would rather not say there again.
Cons: Seemed old.
Pros: Clean, but otherwise very basic and average.
Cons: Does not include breakfast.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well insulated from noise. The TV had many channels to choose from. The food was great. We did not have to worry about our valuables being stolen.
Cons: The beds needed new mattresses and also a larger bathroom. The cooling system needed to be updated--it was warm and muggy our entire stay.
Cons: Gave me the wrong bed style room and the room smelled like a heavy smoker stayed prior to us and the room was not clean. Breakfast was very expensive and I didn't think it is close to the holiday inn standards
Pros: The front desk was well staffed and check-in was easy. The television channel selection was better than the average hotel.
Cons: The rooms are sort of small and compact, and the layout of the door and bathroom was kind of odd. Some of the furniture in the room was too big to be in there.
Pros: Nice pool and hot tub
Cons: Didn't seem any better than any 2 star hotel and no free breakfast
Cons: I stayed at another hotel a mile down the street called country inn a week before which was cheaper and nicer place that offered a continental breakfast. Ramada didn't offer a breakfast for the price I paid I would have thought it would. I was traveling with my young son who really wanted to go in the hot tub, so we asked if we could use the hot tub 30 min before it was scheduled to open and was denied. The heater in the room kept us up all night as well, making a knocking noise. The key had to be swiped four or five times before our room would open. Stay somewhere else
Pros: Perfect location downtown. Easy walking distance to stores, waterfront, many brewpubs and excellent dining. In the historic 'heart' of Marquette.
Cons: I love a nice breakfast, or at least the start of a nice breakfast. The hotel has a nice restaurant/bar, but nothing substantial that is included in the price of your stay.
Pros: The location is great and the rooms were nice.
Cons: We stayed on the second floor and the pool was packed with loud kids. Given it was a Saturday night.
Pros: As with most hotels in Marquette, it's a mid quality hotel. It is very well taken care of, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. It's about five miles from downtown, so a bit further than most, but at an excellent price.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and professional. Room was clean. There was no road noise, at least not that I noticed. Thank you.
Pros: Very dirty grungy rooms. Door had a huge gap you could see the hall. To many steps to worry about as well. Confusing layout. Not happy at all.
