Couldn't better the hotel location, the room was spotless and the staff were exceptional, we had a hiccup as I forgot my id papers but the receptionist resolved the problem and enabled us to enjoy our anniversary celebration. The gifts left in the room were a lovely surprise.. thank you Barcelo 😊

Superb Hotel

Had an amazing time for our girly shopping trip to Malaga. From checking in to checking out, the hotel was first class. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable. The complimentary bubbly and chocolates we received were delicious. Will definitely stay again.

Short stay due to an early flight the next day, however, I found the location and the staff were great for our needs.

It was a bit hard to find. Probably our fault and not the hotel's. Sign posting could be better.

Great experience - amazing, friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean rooms and high hygiene standards throughout the place. Very comfortable beds and good location. Great swimming pool area. Special thanks to Victoria who made our stay unforgettable.

Located directly next to the bus station, the hotel was situated perfectly. Staff were very friendly and welcoming at the reception. Food at the restaurant for dinner was delightful, and it was open until 11pm. The room was incredibly spacious and very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Málaga.

The perfect start to our...

Barcelo Malaga was a great stay and the perfect start to our trip, whilst all the facilities were not quite open due to COVID restrictions it was a fantastic stay regardless. The rooftop is lovely and a great suntrap and the staff are really willing to go the extra mile, every interaction was met with a genuine smile and upmost professionalism. The lobby bar is quaint but has everything you need, however, it's worth noting that there is current;y a 12pm curfue in Spain which includes the hotel bar and room service which was a little dasspointing as we arrived at 11:40pm and wanted to enjoy the bar for longer! We didn't have breakfast but the coffee was lovely. We had a slightly older room and the bathroom could use a little love but the bed was hands-down one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The air conditioning was very effective and kept the room cool even in the 30+ heat. I highly recommend Barcelo Malaga!

The breakfast was really good. The safety measures were strictly respected. I felt safe. The staff was nice especially the woman from the breakfast reception. The leisure facilities are great too.

The cleaning of the room was kind of too early for me.

Lady at the desk by the slide was so friendly and helpful. The roof terrace was lovely & the bed was so comfy

A beautiful modern hotel

The interior decor was amazing! Everything from the pink bar to the lush green velvet sofas it was gorgeous and exuded luxury. All the staff were very polite and friendly and wore masks at all time. Even the hotel manager personally came to our hotel room on our last night to wish us a safe trip back home. There’s hand sanitiser on every corner. The rooftop pool is the perfect addition to such a stunning hotel and it’s where we spent every afternoon. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was really big!

I wish they had said before the time that their slide was out of service due to covid as I was met with disappointment when I got to the hotel and then told I couldn’t use the slide. The lunch and dinner food at the hotel restaurant was very poor and overpriced. I got the goats cheese and marmalade toast and the toast tasted stale and it was rock hard. I also had the jamon and cheese platter which wasn’t kept chilled so the fat on the ham was almost melted and just didn’t taste nice. The hotel lobby and restaurant doesn’t have air con so it’s very warm inside. The location wasn’t the best, it was far away from the old town which is where all the best restaurants are so we had to get an Uber everytime we wanted to eat out at nice places. I gathered that it is a business hotel so there’s no point in it being too close to the old town. The bar staff sometimes didn’t understand what we asked for in English and often ran out of stock of mixers and alcohol.

It was exactly as described, as it should be. Very clean and tidy.

Some of the personnel seemed stressed, I think because of the COVID measurements.

The breakfast and parking was very expensive and I was told on the 4th day that my son (soon 11 y) couldn’t take food himself from the buffet. That is something I didn’t like at all since I wasn’t told when I bought it.

The hotel itself is stunning and all members of staff we encountered during our trip were outstanding and ALWAYS helpful. A member of staff even surprised me with gifts as it was my birthday during the stay which was incredibly thoughtful. There was lots to do nearby from shopping to awesome local restaurants and easy-to-rent scooters! Málaga Centro can be found 5-10 mins drive away. We used Uber for most of our stay and it was pretty cheap. I cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful job they did during our stay. Absolutely nothing, everything was amazing!!

Location excellent- located right next door to train station where you can take train to Malaga airport only 3 stops away for under 3 euro, there is also a shopping mall there. The sightseeing bus departs from very close to the front of the hotel. Rooms clean, bathrooms very clean but getting a little tired. Breakfast was superb. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel with tasteful lobby and helpful, friendly staff. Bedroom was roomy and clean with a huge, very comfy bed. Loved the roof garden and swimming pool

A stylish and great hotel and one I’d absolutely recommend to anyone. From the amazing check in staff to the great room and good value, healthy buffet breakfast, this is simply a fab hotel.

I loved the breakfast - it was delicious and generous! I loved the roof top pool and the gym. The cleanliness was exquisite and the staff veey friendly. The location was perfect and the hotel very quiet, allthough it is right next to the central station.

The breakfast were amazing, smoked salmon with an omelette, the staff went further to give me lemon slices, and those pastries Hubba hubba!

In truth the sound insulation is poor, woken very early by voices, last thing at night and first thing in the morning, glad I couldn’t speak Spanish

Perfect location, great facilities-loved the rooftop pool. This was exactly what I wanted for a weekend trip exploring Malaga as part of my hen party. Staff were very accommodating and breakfast was a hit! Looking forward to returning

Not a problem for us but the hotel is not in the centre of town. However, it’s accessible from the train station which is itself attached t a large mall with shops, restaurants etc.

Excellent hotel, excellent location, easy to get to from the airport by train, close to the old town and to the beach. Staff excellent, bar staff especially Manu and Mihai were fantastic and extremely attentive.

The hotel is adjacent to the train station and has overground parking available for guests (at a charge). We stayed for a night as we went to see the Christmas Lights in late December and found the hotel was well located, allowing us to walk there and back (around 20 minutes each way). The breakfast was excellent and offers a wide selection of hot and cold buffet items. Although we didn’t have time to use many of the hotel’s facilities, there is a fun slide which takes you from the first to the ground floor! I would stay here again.

The hotel was expensive for the night, however considering the time of year I would say this is the case for most hotels in Malaga around Christmas time when there are a lot of tourists who come to see the lights.

Great hotel, lovely staff, nice clean rooms. The lobby slide is pretty fun! Very convenient location by the train station. Not too far of a walk or scooter ride to anywhere in town.

The bed! Oh the bed! Quite possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on! Loved the design and style of the room and the persiana was an added bonus, a great addition! Clever lighting and use of space made the room feel very big and spacious. Bathroom is lovely too, with body jets in the shower, a luxurious little extra. Located next to the train station it’s perfect for a short trip or a stopover on a longer journey. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Would 100% return here!

Loved everything about this hotel. The location is super and excellent if arriving from the airport via the train. The room was clean and very comfortable bed. The roof top terrace is beautiful. Breakfast was fabulous and the slide from floor 1 to the ground floor is great fun. Staff are brilliant and very friendly.

My husband and I loved the bed in our junior suite. It was very comfortable and the sheets were very luxurious. We also like the style of the room – it was very interesting and a cut above some of the normal hotel rooms. We had a light dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed it. Overall, a very nice experience and we would recommend this hotel.

It would have been nice to have a second chair in the room.

Convenient location, superb staff.

Heat control is not effective, electric curtain needs repair. Using open window to cool down room helped some.

The big comfortable bed and the best hotel breakfast we have ever had anywhere in the world are the two things that keep us coming back to this hotel. The staff are great too. The rooms are spacious and quiet. And a bidet in the bathroom is a big plus. Also, since we travel by public transport, the location is perfect.

The system of light switches takes some figuring out. And since there were two of us it would have been good to have two smaller easy chairs rather than one huge one.

All staff were exceptional. Rooms are very nice and spacious. The slide was good fun.

Issue with some work being carried out in hotel. Staff ensured that the matter was dealt with very professionally. Bigger plates at breakfast a must, they are too small !

Excellent location for transport and Sightseeing

Welcoming staff at hotel, and lovely food.

The staff were very friendly & helpful especially the bar staff, the slide was a huge hit with all the family especially our 7 year old who kept himself amused for ages on it. The rooms had fabulous facilities, were very clean and well presented. We loved it & will definitely be staying again.

The only one negative was there were no tea & coffee facilities in the rooms only a kettle, minor inconvenience as we found a lovely coffee shop by the train station

Bar area had a really good vibe, and the food was great, staff were great too !! Room was big , and the bed was huge ,very comfortable. Nice to be able to relax in the room. Location is perfect ,easy to get too ,three stops on train from the airport and nice walk into town centre ,15\20 mins
