Easily accessible
What I liked the most is how accessible to the metro it was. It was easy to get around Madrid and offered a quiet atmosphere which I very much appreciated. The staff was very friendly.

Hotel is well situated for shopping and the Retiro, very easy to get to by car, but see comments below.
Despite assurances by phone that parking would be no problem, no space was available. A hotel of this size should have spaces, or at least access to public parking. Reception and lifts are overwhelmed at peak hours. I have stayed here often, but it's showing signs of a lack of care. Good hotel if the price is right.

This hotel was great value.Staff were very helpful on places to eat and things to do.Its is 2mins from a metro station which you can get straight from the airport.

The staff, comfort and location were very good
The poached eggs for breakfast were very poor. They were cooked,tasted of and presented in vinegar which soaked into the toast. My wife had to leave her full cooked breakfast as a result of this.

The staff was friendly, helpful and most spoke at least some English. Very helpful in a foreign city. The hotel was just 2 blocks from the Metro. It was very modern and clean. Most signs, menus and notices were in both English and Spanish.
The beds were more firm than I was used to and the pushed-together twin beds would separate creating a crack in the middle making it difficult to sleep close to my wife.
