Cons: The food options need improvement. For example, the barbecue restaurant should have a la carte choices, not just fixed, multi-course, menus, which are too filling for many folks. Also, the calibre of ...
Pros: Comfortable hotel with great amenities. Private. Staff is excellent!
Cons: A bit isolated but they make it easy with shuttles and taxis.

Sam's Tours is practically across the street, as well as a mini-mart for fruits and veggies that are nice to have while away from home. The hotel grounds are impeccable, and the staff very attentive. I would book this place again in a heartbeat --- excellent!!

Pros: New business and owners trying to do a good job. But hotel not really ready for business yet.
Cons: Credit card system not set up yet, so you need to pay in cash. Was not told in advance so could not settle bill. This is a problem for both guests and hotel.
G.A.U. Mechang Lagoon Resort is a located in a beautiful location along the beach and just by the vegetation. We are in the peace area just 1 km from the busted city of koror. Cons: I loved this hotel, and if there is anything I would change it would be to rebuild the pool. The pool is small, rectangular, and at most three feet deep. Given the distance to any beach on this ...
Each room will guarantee home atmosphere and service away from the noisiness of the city life.
Cons: The two young men at the front desk were not welcoming to our arrival and gave us little information to the check in process or an orientation to how to get to our room. Just handed the key and looked away kind of greeting. The interaction was very minimal. Maybe it was a language or culture barrier but I felt an awkwardness in the air.
We got to our room and the corner view of our room was beautiful. Online we booked two queens but were given a single king. Since we needed a bed for my sister we went back to the front desk asking for accommodation ( either another room with appropriate sleeping arrangements or a roll a away ).
Since the hotel was booked they could only give us a roll away. But charge us another $400 that includes nightly roll a away plus extra person charge for the 4 nights we had intended to stay.
Long story short, we had to argue that we would not pay another $400 in additional cost since that was not what we originally booked. I had to go back upstairs, grab a copy of my detailed receipt from my online booking to prove what I paid and what I booked for.
It was not until then he got a manager who then agreeably delivers a roll away to our room with out charging the extra $400.
During our stay the next few days, anytime we passed by the lobby, the front desk guys would turn their heads away from us - no smile, no hello, no eye contact. I honstely feel like they did not like us. Which is so sad because I am half Palauan, visiting Palau for the first time on a dive trip and to visit my Palauan relatives. (Not that being Palauan means anything more than the next person, but it meant a lot to me and visiting the island for the first time)
On a side note, I agree with the other reviewers, the hotel caters to the Chinese just based on my observations and guest experience. Poor hospitality.
Pros: The hotel has a wonderful cove and beach, there are good restaurants in walking distance, breakfast was great and the staff was friendly.
