18m indoor pool and gym were good.
Baby sitting service outsourced was fantastic, our sitter was a preschool teacher.
The Concierge service was second to none and nothing was ever a problem, even though we called them 15 times on the first evening.
Located right on the Bund (my room didn't have a Bund view) and was a 50m walk to the waters edge, and on one of the biggest shopping streets in China (East Nanjing Road).
Pros: The location is great but most rooms have no views. The products provided is top of the line and the jazz bar, though did not play jazz when we were there, is a nice old time Shanghai fair.
Cons: The facility is older even after the renovation. The switches are so over-used that one is hard to read what the switch is for. The shower room insulation is old so that water leaks to the toilet area whenver the shower is used.

Pros: This facility offers very comfortable beds and an excellent morning breakfast buffet. It's my go-to hotel when I am in Shanghai on business.
Cons: My room had a clear space for an iron, but it was missing. The hair dryer was cracked and broken, though it still operated. The shower door did not close well, and after every usage, there would be a significant puddle of water on the floor outside the shower (or a fully soaked towel).
Cons: Front desk could not locate booking made on hotels.com

Pros: The lobby is a grand receiving area. The daily treats corner is excellent for afternoon snacks and quick bite on the run. The breakfast buffet is grand and delicious.
Pros: Room situation was excellent.
Cons: Facilities- mediocre at best. The gym was fine but the pool was abysmal.
Service- I get that the service in China is bad, I get it. But come on, train your service better. I couldn't get a taxi for half an hour, and the guy outside was trying to get a taxi for me. If they were smart, they would have called a taxi through phone.

Pros: Easy to get to by the metro, this hotel was a great value. Very nice rooms and a friendly staff, I very much enjoyed my stay. Easy walking to restaurants, the Jing An Temple and shopping.
Pros: If you want to use subway, its one block away. Shopping is right in front of hotel.
Pros: I really like the door guy, he new my friends name, even though he had not stayed in the hotel for 9 months. All the staff was friendly and the location was perfect.
Pros: Nice, well furnished, comfy rooms. Professional staff. Good variety for breakfast.
Cons: Coffee maker not the easiest to operate. OK location. Difficult to find taxi but ready access to Metro. Not the most helpful concierge.
Pros: The location is great.
Pros: The hotel is modern and almost perfectly located in the Jing'An district of Shanghai. It is a 5 min walk to the Subway station and around the corner from a number of great eateries both Chinese and Western. Travel time to places like the Bund/Concessions and Financial District are less than 30 mins by Taxi even less by Subway. Most of the staff speak some English which was not always the case in other 5-star hotels in China. Concierge was well informed and more helpful than the average as well. Another reviewer mentioned that they didn't like the hard beds. I like the firm, yet comfortable mattresses they have.
Cons: All 5-star hotels in China provide you with two bottles of drinking water per day. Swissotel's bottles were actually half-bottles. This is really nit-picking but I couldn't think of anything else I didn't like!
Pros: Modern, clean and efficient. Good location and public transportation, such as the MRT Subway, is just a few steps away.
Cons: The main restaurant on the 2nd floor offers an excellent buffet breakfast with great international food variety ; however, the staff needs to be more pro-active to ensure an efficient service. On several occasions there were no tables available, not because they were occupied by other guests but because they were not clean.
The waiters, seems to be waiting for something to happen because some of them are not pro-active enough, seems they are waiting for instructions, or maybe they prefer to remain in their "comfort zone".
Pros: Clean, Modern, Great Water Pressure
Cons: AC & Heater is very noisy (it won't allow you to sleep at night), Bathroom has see through window so no privacy from the room, beds are very hard, not enough plugs for computers, iPhones, iPads, etc.
