Great location. Very clean rooms. The concierge person (Lulah?) was very nice, helpful and service with a smile! The rooms very stuffy! I guess the a/c was turned off. Also you could smell smoke coming from the smoking rooms. The front desk/front door staff need to smile more and be more pleasant.
Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was a little small by U.S. standards, but adequate. General location was not that great.
tremendous view--great room service ==just the place to get over jet lag. fridge temperature not cold-AC seemed a bit faulty
The only thing I really liked was the location. The room was very small for 2 people.
Good breakfast Nice people
Location was perfect, clean, staff very friendly, amazing breakfast and good food whatever you need. Also upstairs has a nice view from the city. no problems
24hour room service
The room had a nice seaview, TV with a lot of programs. Hotel staff on reception was rude and impolite.
the tv is very bad and poor
the terrace the room was noisy, no phonic isolation. the room was very small.
The hotel is situated almost across the street from the Grand Bazaar and within walking distance of many of the historical sites, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, etc etc. Hotel is clean and efficient and provides free use of the business center. Only problem with the hotel (and this applies to most of Istanbul) is that there is hardly any English spoken by the staff!
The hotel was in a great location to be close to the Grand Bazar and most of the tourist sights. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I thought the prices for dinner and lunch were extrememly high up stairs, but there are plenty of restaraunts in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helped with directions any time we asked for them. Would stay again.
This hotel is located walking distance to the Famous Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. This location can spare you the headache of taking a taxi. Traffic is literally a nightmare in Istanbul
The hotel was nice but had a few flaws. first, do not eat the breakfast buffet, extremely over priced. They also keep the building very warm by not running the a/c too much.
Very good location walking distrance to most main tourists attraction venue. Overall attractive hotel except for room 219 WIFI can barely have any reception and one particular security can't even speaks English.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Air-conditioner was not working very well.
it was comfortable u had to pay to use there swimming pool which is madness u pay enough to stay in the place .. bar closed one oof the nights had to use restaurant area
very kind and polited staff! very good service and good price/value ratio! I am very satisfied!
staff was helpful and smiling, except those of the dining room that smelled of sweat. I didn't like that everything was alleyways, dirty. the bathroom had just shower into the wall. I had salt water in the sink
the location was great the hotel was not comfort , noisy
The staff could not do enough for us. It was a great location for the grand bazaar. Lovely rooftop pool. Local restaurants were cheap and had an excellent array of local food and a taxi to Taxsim was £3 each way.
good location and quite, a walking distance from most of tourist locations, clean, acceptable break fast, and acceptable service some days they switch of the AC so it was terrable night
The rooms were clean but very small bathrooms are tinyyyy ... First off they wanted to charge 30 lira for a swim now come on u pay for ur hotel u dont expect to pay to use the pool .. The food was cold .. i got and when i gave it back to them they put the chips in the microwave with the sauce on it was horrible .. The bar closed early one night so u had to go to the restaurant area for ur drinks ... now i have to say the staff were very nice and friendly these things that happened were not there fault ..
The stuff is very, very helpful and friendly, the hotel is well located in front of the mosque and quite near to Istanbul University and historical Sultanahmet area. It's not too big, not crowded and noisy that sometimes can happen during high season. The minibar was empty, but's not a problem to buy some beverages to take away in the hotel's restaurant in the groundfloor that's open 24 hours. To my mind the breakfast was quite frugal.
Reception was very helpful and location was fantastic--right across from the Grand Bazaar and a short walk or tram ride to Sultanhamet. I stayed here when I had a 22 hour layover in Istanbul so I was able to see things quickly. Room was very small (about 2 feet of space on two sides of the bed) and there were no surfaces to work on or put things. Would not recommend for an extended stay, but great for a short visit.
Location location location Not clean Breakfast
nice comfortable hotel, great location.staff is friendly and helpfull. Location is excellent, very close to the old city - Grand Bazaar area - and tramway very close
A pleasant, modern boutique style hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff who tried to assist with all our requests. Restaurant very good with an excellent view of the city and a good selection of food. Accommodation in the standard double room was not spacious but very comfortable and we would stay there again.
Close to the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque The "no smoking" room smelled of smoke
The room was spacious, an upgrade, very quiet and clean
Excellent value for money - great buffet breakfast - convient for shopping, opposite Grand Bazaar
The breakfast is good, room service is qweek. Standart room very small, durk and old.
Its location, sevice, faciliteis and its friendly staff The veiw of his room
Location Small bathroom
The double room I stayed in was tastefully decorated and modern and yet still had old world charm and specific decor to that culture. I would definitely stay there again.
We loved the friendly staff and the wonderful breakfast on the roof. That is a special way to start a day in Istanbul---view of the ships and the sea. Rooms are fine, but quite small. The staff is proud of their hotel and make the best of an older design.
We liked everything at this hotel. The quality of service is excellent; the rooms are cozy, and well arranged. The service is one of the best I have experienced. Definitely will come back and recommend.
We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the service. The service in the morning was very good. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had. We appreciated their helpfulness.
This is a lovely, small hotel with great personal service and a good location for seeing the main sites of Istanbul. It's well priced for the quality, the suites are both lovely and good value for money. I appreciated the hotel staff who were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. Their guidance for independent exploration was perfectand they offer other facilitated support for those who might require it.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A little noisy at night (outside noise)
Friendly helpful staff, clean & well-furnished room. Location was good too - by foot, 3min from Grand Bazar and 15min from Hagia Sofia etc. Room was a little small.
Room is well designed, service is friendly and efficient, front desk manager is able to anticipate our requirements and is conversant in English (refreshingly so!), and great roof top view of the sea.
Its house staff, always ready to answer my questions and doubts in a most polite and gentle manner. The room was somewhat smaller than expected, but even so it was a fair deal for the price charged.
Staff are friendly and kind. There are many sightseeng spots and a tramby station nearby. It's little noisy.
hotel is centrally located with easy access to tram and metro for moving about economically.
great location and silence room
Good Hotel and good priece!
i liked the size of the room and they offer for me some fruits after i get the room. no
central location, near the tram & bus station, good breakfast, good air conditioning, small room but comfortable. no wireless internet conection in the room, parking place was very far from the hotel and it costs 10 E per day.
Clean. Reasonably modern. Extensive breakfast buffet. Hotel ideally situated for visiting the historical sites on foot or by tram.
fast, free wifi - uncomfortable bed which moved around on wheels, also staff charged an exorbitant rate when exchanging the euro booking fee into lira. Make sure you have Euro's on hand to pay in cash rather than get ripped off this way.
it was a great localisation near to the tram and the bleue mosquee
kind staff, safety, clean old plumbing into the bathroom
The hotel is located closed to the central part and most of the sights. Esp. the Grand Bazar. The stars should be maximum 2. The rooms are not well isolated. The price is high and they need total repairment.
really everything, espessially hotel service was very fine, the people at information desk was very kind and helpful with us.thanks to all staff one by one. nothing cause everything was fine even the dinner, and the barman.
Excellent service, very good location, minutes from Grand Bazaar and Sultan Ahmed; excelent breakfast, very nice rooms, spacy and clean, friendly staff. - really good value for money.
The best hotel we live in Istanbul Nothing
every thing was great
Access to historical sites Language problems. The staff had a difficult time with English and German.
Location is good. Some stuff are very friendly and nice. We felt uncomfortable to be at the reception, because they seemed to get motivated. Their attitude seems inappropriate four stars. Morning meal is boring.
Breakfast buffet was good. Washroom was clean. That's about it. Very poor staff interaction - checkin process was disorganized and took a long time. The front desk staff kept trying to force us into booking events that they had brochures for (and get commission for selling to tourists). They did not help us with directions or hours of common attractions. Although they say it is a non smoking hotel, people still smoke in the hallways and they do not inforce the non-smoking restriction other than putting up a sign.
The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, felt like new, modern eventhough not large in size...The hotel offers a great variety of food from its breakfast buffet that can satisfy the most demanding guests (my 2 small kids :))The location is good - nice 15 min walk to Sultanahmet but for those who prefer to use public transport there is a tram just opposite that can take you around the town...
the room was very modern and will designed, also, it was very clean. The location of the hotel , and the tram stop just infront of the hotel. the frontdesk people was helpful. the room was very hot. we ask the frontdesk staff and they say all the AC system is turned to hot because it's winter time and our stay was at the beginning of november, was not really cold. our stay was not comfort only because of this reason.
Room was modern, new, and fresh. Breakfast facility was ok .people are doing their best to help you. during 1 day i did leave my hotel room at 9.00 and closed it .and come back at 1.00 am but my room door was open !!
