We were upgraded to a cabana room without asking, which was amazing. The hotel itself is a historical beauty! And location is great
Really no complaints. I do wish the pool was open later though so we could have enjoyed it more
Great location! Restaurant open 24/7 with amazing burgers.
A dresser for clothes in the room would have been nice. There were hangers but no space to put other items from suitcase.
Hollywood Roosevelt
Valet was great, room was clean and enjoyable.
The service was horrible! The bartenders and waitstaff in 3 different venues within the hotel were awful! Rude, not attentive at all, for a place that automatically adds 18% gratuity on top of the additional tip, shame on them for having bad staff at such a iconic and beautiful hotel. This literally ruined the ambience and enjoyment of my stay.
The hotel is tired. It has two elevators that hold ten passengers. One of the elevators was often out of order. Sometimes there were guests stuck in the elevator. There was no way to use the stairs so wait times to get to our room were long. Our room was small. The TV was not working well. Mediocre at best.
Great rooms. Great bar. Wonderful onsite restaurants. Wonderful location. Fantastic staff.
Great Hotel for that special night on the town!
I told them we were staying for a special occasion and they had the availability to upgrade our room. Very accommodating made the night special for us, despite the many events happening in and arround the hotel (holiday parties etc.)
Cool hotel
i liked the look of the rooms. They were nicely decorated. The size of the pool was great - lots of room for everyone. The location was very convenient to a Metro and to the touristy area.
The pool area was a little confusing. It was hard to tell which chairs were taken. The chairs by the shallow end of the pool were occupied by people who didnt seem to want to get wet which was frustrating. The hotel room felt like a store. Too many items for sale. This also took up precious space for personal items.
Music was great as well as quality of guests.
Staff were very rude and not helpful. Would not accept cash for incidental room fee
My room smelled terrible. I didn't like the staff because they were very rude to me for walking around the hotel at night.
Good Hotel & Nice Staff
- Fresh and well-maintained hotel (especially considering its age) - Very cool decor in the main areas and rooms are well-appointed - Very nice staff - Pool is nice (although it can be crowded during the day, and has a 'bouncer' stationed at the entrance - this is needed given the popularity, but is a little much)
- The first room I stayed in was small, had a view of nothing but the rooftop A/C units, and had incredibly noisy ventilation system. The very polite front desk staff moved me to a different (and much nicer) room upon request - $10 bottles of water in the room. Come on guys, a complimentary bottle of water won't kill the margins. - 'Hotel-branded' flip flops for sale at $20 instead of the inexpensive complimentary slippers that are normally available at hotels of this level
Unique and comfortable with a rockstar flare.
The decor and friendly staff, the 24hr diner and the pool party.
The lift was close by and was a little noisy early hours of the morning.
Fun time and great service
The service and room were phenomenal

The location ws great!
No bathrobe
The room selection was fulfilled. I have been staying at the hotel for almost 15 years.
Fan Coil Unite was noisy.
Very close to amenities and entertainment relating to my stay.
Construction and hammering started very early in the morning so I never slept well. With jet lag on top of it, I came home totally exhausted when this was to be a relaxing few holiday days. Also, my window looked out onto the roof of 2nd floor and workmen could peer into my window. As a result I had to keep my curtains closed at all times. I did not get to enjoy the daylight. Room was very small and not altogether clean - dirty carpet and automan. Certainly not at all what I was expecting from a superior room. Overall not a great stay.
The staff was friendly, attentive and available for all our needs.

Had problems with lock system on door. Maintanance man came, removed complete door handle and then disappeared. After an hour waiting we needed to go out and security were most unhelpful but finally came and stood by door so we could leave room as there was no way we could lock it.
Great value hotel in a great location
The location was great. The room was a little small, but had charm. We were comfortable there.
Central location in the Hollywood area. Beautiful interiors from lobby to restaurant and inviting exterior areas around the pool and outside bar. Excellent and fast service all over. One night when we had a little plumbing problem : ) in our toilet, the janitor fixed it within 10 minutes. Could definitely book this hotel at my next visit to LA.
I got a free upgrade to a suite.
The low light in the foyer was ridiculous
