Madeira Bright Star Hotel

Excellent location, right above Porto Santo ferry quay. Really cheap. (because of nearby demolition work I think). Good backyard with pool and sunbeds, helpful staff on the reception and in the bar.

There was a demolition work across the garden, hence it was noisy in daytime. As it was close to casinos and night club, noisy in the night as well. Double glazed windows help from noise, but it becomes too hot and too little oxygen inside. Air conditioning produces lots of noise but doesn't cool anything. Also, once upon we spotted a 5cm long cockroach in the hallway next to our room. When we complained about that, they acted if they nao comprende.

The room was very nice and quiet.

The worst of the stay was the absence of room service and the overall service of the employees, wich was poor considering that this is a four star hotel.
