The location, the price, the free wifi & internet facilities and the food My vodafone reception was extremely poor in my room and was not great in the reception area either
Room was spacious and comfortable and clean.
The food at breakfast was plentiful but was lukewarm
Like the location! Lady on reception when checking out was Lovely! Very difficult to check in, even though the booking requesting cots was on the system visible to both myself and the receptionist a more senior person came and very abruptly demanded proof of my booking before she could give me a room!! And advised that I had not advised them of us bringing kids....despite the written request for 2 cots for 2 x 1 year olds. My husband was in the car with two kids for 40 mins while I checked in, got to the room which was the furthest room away from the car park on the 3rd floor and down two long corridors....carrying a one year old and luggage each! Got to the room and no cots, asked at reception were the cots on the way and she thought she had requested one but wasn't Sure! Finally got the cots an hour after getting into the hotel! Next quest was milk for the bottles....near impossible, I ended up getting annoyed at the bar after being sent there by the restaurant.....the young man magiced milk then having told me he had none to start with. Also while checking in at reception the more senior receptionist started questioning the receptionist assisting me on aspects of her work load, an argument ensued while I stood there....i am now clear that the receptionist only has two hands!! We have stayed here before and had the most positive experience so I was very disappointed with this. Duty manager rang me yesterday and was so lovely as was the receptionist yesterday, just like our previous visit.
We have stayed in this hotel a few times and it's one of our favourites. It is getting an upgrade but we were not disturbed by this. We upgraded to one of the the newly refurbished rooms and it was lovely and fresh and clean. And sooooo quiet. My hubby and I were treated very well by all staff from check in to check out. Food was good, entertainment in bar enjoyable and atmosphere very relaxing. Nothing
The Brassiere was excellent Room cold especially the bathroom during the night. Should have been advised the lift was not working
everything was nice . start with check-in to check-out. rooms are good size, clean and bed wear very good. breakfast was nice, worm, busy morning but well organized. would be nice if they have some croissant and selection of danish pastry on breakfast. breakfast chef and service staff was helpful. check out time was 11 am. it should be 12 am for checkout as other standard hotels .
we didn't even get to stay due to the staff. I used my card to secure booking and to pay cash on arrival , I also rang the hotel before leaving and they said it was fine to do so just to bring the card used which I did. when I got to the hotel the receptionist who I had been on the phone to completely denied telling me it was OK to pay cash that their policy is you must have a credit card . so she lied straight to my face because 4 other colleagues were watching and listening she then walked away from me in the middle of explaining trying to sort the situation out . I was spoken to like a dog and her attitude was appalling I then asked for the manager and explained how I was treated and still continued to solve the situation she also spoke to me like a dog so I turned on my heel and left . I have never felt more humiliated in my life staff could really do with a communication course . I then left and stayed in the maldon Newlands hotel unexpectedly explained what had happened and they were so kind and helpful . I really enjoyed my stay in the maldon spotless rooms the staff couldn't do enough and the atmosphere was great.
The staff were excellent, courteous, helpful and made everything about my stay at the Ibis Hotel Dublin West pleasant and enjoyable. The Ibis Hotel Dublin West is in an excellent location for accessing Dublin City and its environs.
Value for money, breakfast at €9.00 extra made sense if you didnt get up for breakfast and late breakfast available. No cigarette machine! understand that it is a non smoking hotel but availabilty would facilitate customers as there are shops within walking distance!
