Location location location!
Next to the Mezquita and historic Cordoba Parking was difficult
I liked this hotel the very best of all my hotels in the two weeks I travelled in Spain and Morocco. I wish I could have stayed there at least a week. It was a beautiful experience. Thank you
You literally walk out the front door and you are looking at the Cordoba Mosque. unbelievable!!!! I also loved the fact that they control the traffic with a pop up barrier which significantly limits the number of cars that pass around the mosque and in front of the hotel.
The location was directly across the street from the Mezquita and offered valet parking (which based on the ramp down to the parkade, I was very happy for!). You had to access the hotel by buzzing an attendant who then lowered a pylon blocking the street to allow you access to the street that became pedestrian only for most of the day. So leaving the area was not fast (narrow streets with lots of people).
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely courtyard room, great value. lunch was a great disapointment
The quality of the room, the overall hotel, and the staff was terrific. Great location. Excellent breakfast (9€). Nothing not to like.
Inmidiate access to all the attraction. N Noisie rooms, uncomfortable bed and worn down linens.
The staff seemed like they could not care less about visitors. Service was only offered on request - not as a natural part of their jobs.
The location could not be better sharing as it does a street with the mosque-cathedral. All the historic parts are within minutes. The streets are not so narrow that normal cars will have any problem. The rooms are very quiet. The reception staff spoke excellent English and gave excellent advice. The underground garage is very convenient and the staff parked the car.
The location of the hotel was very good and the ambience was quiet. The room was good although the bed lacked a certain comfort. Generally I enjoyed my stay. Finding a cockroach in the bathroom was a bit if a shock as imagined that the hotel would be too clean for that. I also could not quite work out why the nightly rate was E60 one night and 69 the following night.( I stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday night) Breakfast was extra on both days.
Location! It had great service, and people in Córdoba were very friendly. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. Buffet was a bit expensive for its content.
Fantastic place. Great atmosphere. It is built in a house of the roman times, previously to the Mezquita. It's neighboor is the Mezquita itself. Great location. Could not be better. A trully wonderful experience.
I´d like very much location and interior decorating (Andalusian well) Rooms are very small
Fantastic position, friendly and helpfull staff Right on cobbled street which was noisy at night if you left the window open.
helpful staff, physical charm of the hotel
Could not be better located being adjacernt to the Cathedral although difficult to get at initially by car. Good environment and nicely furnished and decorated room. Good attractive bathroom. Only 2 adjacent parking spaces else long term parking 15 to 20 mins walk away. Rooms quiet small and windows onto common internal patio areas. Breakfasts quite limited and not included.
Location could not be better. Arrived via train. Very easy to find, located right between the Roman bridge and Mosque-Cathedral. Interior is welcoming and building has a history of its own. Would definitely return.
The room had only one window/door which opened on a closed patio, i.e. the room was very dark and with no air.
Location, facility was charming and staff very helpfu. Room a little small
The hotel is historically interesting and the standard of decor is excellent. The staff were most helpful. The location is perfect.Breakfast good very good value. Rooms a little on small side but that goes with the history of the place.
Very clean and tidy. Very nice decor and layout of rooms. It was an excellent location. Was much nicer inside than it looked from the outside. Although it said there was a restaurant, infact it was only available for a buffet breakfast. No bar, minibar or safe deposit boxes
Fantastic place, in front of Mosquee, in the heart of historical city.Very clean with an atmosphere of historical time Very difficult to reach by car, almost impossible, no parking at all!!!!! Even after reservation of parking by mail no parking when arriving. Very poor breakfast, almost nothing and bad service of breakfast - waiting 30minutes to be served.Very small bedroom.
Hotel is right in center of historic old city and next to mosque walls. We parked at nearby hotel for 15 euros. Big room for three of us. Not luxury but nice and perfect location.
Very very charming hotel. I had the best room ever ! Very good value for money. Perfect location, just opposite the door of the Mezquita
The hotel was next to the Mezquita and in the heart of the historic city which was fabulous. Unfriendly and unhelpful reception staff. No internet access in the room.
The location. The hotel is located next to the gate of the Mosque (now Cathedral) of Cordoba. It is a perfect place to stay if one wants to enjoy this beautiful site. Also, the staff are wonderful, and the decor and art of the hotel are worthwhile themselves. No English language stations on the tv, but, that is a small complaint.
Very cheap yet comfortable and right on Plaza Santa Catalina. Couldn't do better for the price.
No wifi in rooms. But it was workable.
Great location, very clean, interesting design, great and very helpful staff. All this for a great price. No downsides to this hotel.
Carmen assisted our check-in with complimentary water and lemonade, then took us to our room on the second floor of this surprisingly modern B&B. We parked the car in a separate lot (for 13 Euros/night) and tasted their after dinner drinks on the open-air roof top terrace. Nearby there were several fine outdoor restaurants for dinner, and our favorite for breakfast was Sojo Café Ribera on the third floor, about four blocks from the hotel's alleyway.
Boutique hotel with a great conversion of an old building Very narrow pedestrian street requiring a taxi drop off about 100 meters from the hotel.
It's beautiful setting around a sunny courtyard, so zenlike, with scented hallway and modern decor. No
Amazing renovated historical space with a tranquil spa-like ambiance that is soothing and luxurious. Nope
The were friendly and helpful, the location next to the Mezquite is the main reason to stay there. Room was compact and only quiet when other guests had settled down. Not easy to access with a car and secure undercover parking is 500metres or so from the hotel.
Great location, wonderful private, spacious, sunny terrace with room 9, best hotel bathroom we've ever had. Expected much less for our money!
Great location and great staff, helpful, gentile and direct. Just at the corner of the most important monument of the city It's not a place for early sleeping, the street is very noisy until 1am and the room was frontal, it's a very simple hotel but really honest.....
I thought the room was charming, particularly as it opened out onto a tiny patio, the location was central but the hotel was quiet, and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Fantastic location! We could almost touch the walls of La Mezquita from our little balcony!
Pros: Super inexpensive, very clean, lovely indoor patio, serve coffee and tea, strong air condition Wifi was a little slow but good enough
The Hostal was very friendly, but it was difficult to find. Parking was another problem The bedroom was rather small and not much drawer space for clothes, there was no fridge eith.
Every thing was minimum. It will be better if the owner will change the beds. The location is excellent. The price is expensive. The parking is far.
The public areas were nice looking; The room was rather convenient; the view from the roof was nice; It was close to the main things. staff spoke very little English; At night it takes the guard sometimes a couple of minutes to open the main door, and it's not so nice to be outside in the cold.
Very nice hotel within the walking distance from all interesting sites. Authentic design and neat ambiance. It's about time that receptionists learn some basic english words to explain some simplest things. Also breakfast consisting of coffee and cupcake for 13 euros is not really value for money. The receptionist told us that breakfast is included. It was only afterwards that we learned that apparently it is not.
The old atmosphere, position Wi Fi did not work (said it did) thin walls ,noisy
Location was excellent for town centre Air conditioning unit needed a service
Location +++. Also, it felt like a hotel but at hostel prices. It was nice to have a single room with private bathroom, which normally I wouldn't consider paying for, but their rates were reasonable. Not really.
the room arrangement and cleanness no
The housekeeping and breakfast room staff were particularly competent. Some of the guests in adjacent rooms were noisy.
The interior design, and the rooftop terrace There was a loud industrial sound (big air conditioner) that turned on and off very regularly during the night. That was a hassle and I would not stay there again unless I could get a room well away from the noise.
The Hotel Asolter was convientlt located in Cordoba for sightseeing in the city. It was a comfortable and clean hotel with very helpfiul staff. Breakfast was not servesd at teh hotel but at a nearby cafe. On both mornings (during semana santa) the earliest serving was 10:00 which we found rather late.
It was Very difficult to find- no signs in main street as per other hotels. Also the site mapping sent us to wrong location in car! Also we were surprised to be sent to a cafe 100 meters away for breakfast and it was not very good- only 1 small coffee and a toasted bun with pulped tomato paste! Ugh!
Location No parking, and difficult to access by car
good location for sightseeing but see below no hairdryer, no headboard. no onsite breakfast available, better not to include b/fast in price as choice was very limited. Took ages to locate hotel as many streets were closed or one way. Parking was too far away.
Extremely clean and easily accessible from the coach station. Quite a walk into the centre of town and main sights.
wifi was not strong enough to reach the room. for english speaking tourists an CNN or BBC news channel would be nice
Pleasant, small hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. Limited continental breakfast served in lively nearby cafe. Location conveniently within walking distance of historic attractions. Very difficult to find (even using gps) as no vehicular access to the hotel and no parking nearby - had to transport luggage on foot from nearest available secure parking - 7- 8 minute walk through busy shopping district. Breakfast venue 200 m away - pleasant, friendly cafe, but inconvenient if it's raining. Rooms attractively decorated but very small, no English tv channel, and no safe for valuables. Expensive when compared to other hotels with similar rates but larger rooms, and more convenient facilities. Hotel situated on narrow pedestrian street, opposite kindergarten, so needed to keep windows closed to block out the noise - made small room even more claustrophobic.
There was very little to like as such - the room was clean, with ensuite - but the facilities at the hotel were non-existent. The staff were helpful in terms of local dirctions, local restaurants and the old town and so on, The hotel as such was simply a fairly priced place to sleep!! No restaurant facility is not unusual but no ability to get a coffee, or a drink and with no in -room facilities, does make for some frustration, especially if arriving late and/or after a difficult journey. The restaurant used by the hotel for breakfast although close by wasn't very friendly and very smoky!! The hotel has no arrangements with a nearby local public parking place that guarantees a place to park. So, you can end up as we did in a search for space in an area that we did not know and in a busy traffic maze of one way streets. We took 2hrs to drive from Malaga and 3hrs to park!
Hotel Maestre provided us with the best service, including a fantastic breakfast within walking distance to historical sites. Getting to it by car - a nightmare of one way streets!
Nice decor in public area Quite noisy. All the tile and marble floors makes it worse. Could use some rugs to help keep the noise down. Poor lighting in room
close to mesquita
Convenient location, very pleasant courtyard and reception area, pleasant room. A litter bin with a lid would have been useful
Location was good, a nice walk into the centre, but this end of town has some really nice tapas bars. No where to hang towels.
parking and proximity to city centre nothing
Clean, comfortable and convenient
The location, however we were put into an apartment and did not stay in the main Hotel The bathroom was very poor
excellent value for money and couldn't have been more central for the Mezquita.
Its design around the central courtyard (Not unlike a Moroccan Ryad), its cleanliness, friendly English speaking counter staff and its location re: Le Mesquita and other attractions. Breakfast was also worthwhile. Air conditioning on the second floor was spasmodic - sometimes on, sometimes off. Given it was 38 degrees, it needed to be on all night.
Very small charming hotel in the old part of town. Very quiet. No fuss. Excellent staff who helped with smallest request very efficiently. They booked Flamenco evening and advised best choice (from several venues) and they obtained the best seats in the theatre. Can't think of anything not to like. Would happiiy stay there again
Staff friendly and helpful. Associated restaurant dreadful
I liked everything, from the moment we checked in, the rooms were clean and ready, the staff was very helpful with all the things we needed, they recommended places to go in the city. I loved the restaurant, the food was very very good, and they are good about promoting local cuisine Nothing to change, they are the best
Very nice staff, very clean rooms, excellent location. One caveat: sat nav on car struggled to find the hotel location.
The hotel was run as a traditional Spanish hotel and the staff were very helpful and booked our tickets for the flamenco show as soon as we arrived which was extremely good.We enjoyed the breakfast but thought it could have started earlier than 9 am
Good location and staff. Breakfast was included. Wifi available. It was hard to get the suitcases up without an elevator
The hotel is close to the centre of Cordoba, about 5 minutes walk from the Mosque/Cathedral, Jewish Quarter etc. They also have a restaurant El Escondite there which serves good food. / El hotel esta cerca al centro de Cordoba, 5 minutos andando de la Mezquita/Catedral, Judería etc. Tienen un buen restaurante, El Escondite, que tiene buena comida. We were in the only room downstairs and the outisde noise entered a little too easily. / Estabamos en el unico habitación abajo y el ruido de fuera infiltró muy facilmente.
staff very welcoming. rooms were warm and decorated to a high standard. Quiet and within walking distance of the Mezquita.
Especially the staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was very nice.
The tapas ba. Parking availability. Access by car with many one way streets that were more like sidewalks.
It is well situated. It is a small hotel, very pleasant. We didn't have warm water the first day but they repaired it. It was good.
Good atmosphere, basic facilities impossible to find with GPS if you drive a car. You should study on the map and do not listen to the driving instructions. After 30 minutes we parked the car and walked to the hotel. Narrow streets are not suitable even for a midsize car. Parking is a big issue in all Andalucian cities. Even in the smallest town you have to pay for the parking and walk 15 minutes. Cordoba is not an exception.
Apperance, furnishings Needed very explicit instructions to find it by car!
The atmosphere (traditional Moor-ish decoration) and the welcoming staff Room was just a bit too small.
The rooms are beautifully designed, great location
Stilistic design in the tranditional building with a nice patio; good staff Small room
easy access to the city center
The interior of the hostel was beautiful and we really loved it.The staff was very kind even though there was only one person who speaks English well. The location was very convenient and neighborhood is quiet. It was a bit hard to communicate in English with some sfaff, but they were all helpful and friendly.
Ther lobby was nice and the internet access a bonus. It was close to the Mosque and lots of eateries around the area. Sure, the room was next to the street. The bathroom was tiny. the beds were uncomfortable The shower cubicle was falling apart. The whole thing needs to be pulled down.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, suggesting places to visit etc. Room was 'cosy' but was great value for money. The hotel itself was great. Lovely arabic feel and in a great location, not too central to be noisy but close enough to everything that you could walk. It even had parking but we were unable to use this as there were road closures.
