Pros (+) Great view of the cathedral - best in Cologne (I've traveled to Cologne many times)
Cons (-) At first gave us a Rhine view room with a terrace overhang above us that cut off half the cathedral view. They were happy to move us a floor up, but that should have been clarified in the reservation
Pros (+) The breakfast was really good
Cons (-) The whole hotel needs a facelift. I think the time with dark wood is over an also the rooms need a facelift too
Pros (+) Wonderful attentive staff without being intrusive. Perfect location for sight seeing/shopping. Excellent outdoor informal riverside restaurant - open when the weather is clement. Superb spa. Classy breakfast.
Cons (-) Nothing to criticise. Regrettably the normal room rate will be beyond the budgets of most people though.
