We like the garden, the restaurant, the Japanese garden and the old building. We had a great lunch at the restaurant.
We didn’t like our suite design. It was a little tacky.

Location in the Quinta da lagrimas was nice. Can visit the garden at your leisure.
Tired decor. Bathroom was dated. Furnishing scruffed. Breakfast so so.

The love story and the gardens were well worth staying here for. We had the set menu for dinner which was a real experience, if not too much food. Make sure you book when you’re really hungry. Each plate was like a work of art and tasted wonderful.
It was all perfect.

A fantastic small boutique hotel with historic character with friendly, professional and warm staff. The grounds are beautiful and serene inviting an evening romantic stroll. The Pedro/Innes legend adds a layer of romance. The restaurant is a great atmosphere for a very good meal. If you are within 100 kilometers reward yourself by stopping here.
The adjacent golf course is a 9 hole pitch/ putt that would not meet the expectations of most US players.
