We arrived early and tried to check in.Were advised room not ready, but in a hour and we were being upgraded. Two hours later that room was gone, but we could wait for the upgraded room or take our confirmed room (smaller,etc) then.Decided to wait on 23rd floor where the upgraded room was located--very pleasant but took another 40 minutes. It was god to wait and worth it but,.........................., had two double beds. would have liked queen beds as we were three ladies, two of whom are larger.... Everything else was GREAT
The main lobby and bar were beautiful and relaxing areas and the hotel is well maintained and clean. Rooms and bathroom were very small and the building is definitely an older building. That being said, the interiors were clean and well taken care of, and the common areas were very well kept and beautiful.
The check in was smooth and easy. Our attendant answered all of our questions and made great suggestions for food and activities. I will say, i had the BEST caramel macchiato at the Starbucks that is in this hotel. I told the barista then, and i'm saying it again now, it was hands down the best! The bed seemed really firm which is unusual for hotels, usually they are plush.
Incredibly beautiful hotel. The lobby is a masterpiece. I felt like I was transported in time...with modern amenities close by. Wish there was a refrig in the room but other than that, this trip was perfect. I plan to visit The Palmer many more times.
Efficient and clean
The room was very clean. The hotel had many amenities and provided a comfortable home away from home. I was approached by beggars both in front of the hotel (on the sidewalk) and in the hotel lobby. It would have been nice for security to be a bit tighter.
Decor, ambiance, comfy bed and linens, great shower, great mirror in the bathroom, we were pleasantly suprised to see that we were able to open the windows in the room, we like fresh air. The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom.
Walk into the grand lobby and you feel like you're part of Chicago history. The rooms are a little small.

The hotel is historic, but apart from the lobby, which is impressive, the historic details are not well preserved, so overall it feels less like a grand old hotel and more like just an old and run-down hotel. The room was small; carpet was worn out; drapes hideous; no fan in the bathroom; a tray of junk food was set out on display front of the bed, which could not be moved without incurring a charge, so it was like we were sleeping in a convenience store.
In the middle of everywhere I needed to be! Near read line, near great restaurants and near the bean. Bed was a bit too uncomfortable and no water pressure in shower.

My friend and I got there on a Thursday night. We asked the manager if we could get an upgrade since I was a gold member and the hotel was more than half empty. She denied us that courtesy. I would understand if the hotel was full but it was totally empty probably due to the bad weather so I will not stay here again

From check in to check out, our stay at the Hyatt Regency was a superb experience. The staff was genuinely hospitable, and the entire facility was luxurious. The premium view is worth the extra $$$, as we had a breathtaking view of the river and lakefront. Definitely recommend. It was pricey, but definitely worth it. I really can't say anything else that was undesirable, as our stay was basically perfect.
Check in was busy but efficient Because it was our 10th wedding anniversary I called to have a bottle of proseco waiting for us in the room. I was told they didn't have proseco but it was listed in the menu. The walls are paper thin. So much so not only could I hear the guy next door but I could also hear the person he was talking to on the phone. came downstairs to get my car from the valet and was told it would take 20 minutes. No one said anything when I checked in and there were no instructions that allowed you to call ahead from your room. Bathroom floor was sticky. Overall, the worse hotel visit.

Location was great. Staff was nice. Workout facility adequate. The BIG bar and the common spaces were really neat. no convienent way to have towels replaced. You had to call housekeeping. Also the sink was small, no place to leave personal items on sink. Couldn't use the refrigerator because it was rigged to charge you for minibar items.

Came early bc we were miserable at another hotel so we showed up at 1030AM Ann's they kindly let us check in for our four nights at that time so we could relax get and shower and unpack before hitting the city. Phenomenal location to all and I mean all things. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Great city and river views. Would most certainly recommended to anyone visiting the city.
Everything... not the room i asked for... was lied too. telling me things would be the same and werent... not even close. will not use again.
Right by elevator
The location is great, and the staff was friendly. I reserved two rooms in advance, but they did not put us next to each other. As a family traveling, this was disappointing.
It was nice and in a great location They gave me a single king room with no view but I payed for a double queen with a view and even paid extra for a view room and then just gave us a free meal that sucked
One of the better exercise areas I've seen in a hotel. A shop downstairs for incidentals (especially water) would be nice, instead of having to walk to the nearby Seven Eleven.
Even though the hotel offers nice spacious rooms with an incredibly friendly staff the noise left us with less than desirable evenings. The noise from people in the hallway travelled down the entire hallway echoing, causing the ability to sleep quite difficult. Conversely early in the morning when people were beginning to check out you heard the elevator almost every time... and we were at least 4-5 rooms away from the elevator. Additionally there was hotel room service plates left in the hallway for 1 1/2 days with dirty food on it. I'm a patient person but that's unacceptable for even more than half a day
Wedding with loud DJ two floors above us kept us up one night. We called the desk and they seemed like they couldnt have cared less about our concern

Nothing The room was dirty and so were my bath towels, also not to mention the hallway smelled really bad. Most importantly the staff were very rude when I informed them of my dirty room.

only suggestion for improvements I would have would be the doors to get into the different wings look like service entrances- out of character with the rest of the décor- could use an upgrade.
Beds are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Onsite parking is cheaper than others in downtown Chicago. Wifi could be better. The rooms are older in style and decor, but that is to be expected in a 100+ year old hotel.

A Very Walkable City with wonderful waterfront area and Great Food at Lou Malnati's and Gene & Georgetti. Museums, Aquarium, Planetarium, Soldier Field, Jazz Clubs and Great Restaurants...Everything is centrally located in and around Grant Park which is right across the street from the HILTON CHICAGO. The bed pillows were AWFUL! mushy and no support. A minor point, that would NOT prevent me from staying there again. My biggest CON was the cost of parking $56/day (self park) or $70/day (valet), for the cost of the room it should be included. Also in-room WiFi is an additional charge, should also be included.
My hotel was right acros from the park..a short walk from the museum and aquarium, as well as a ferry to the pier! The room was clean and large, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautiful! Hotel also has a large pool..was over all very impressed, would stay again on a return visit! That I had to leave!
The location is good: close to subway, next to park, easy to get food to eat. I thought this is a 4-star hotel. When I saw the entrance of this hotel, it looks like 4-star. But when I got into the room, I thought I was in a 2-star Inn. The coffee maker is dirty, full of dust. The computer is not working and not able to off screen. The decoration of the room doesn't look like 4-star. Also, when the guest at next room used the bathroom, the loud "boom" sound would shock you. The WiFi is only free at lobby. The speed is really slow. When I refused to pay $30 for upgrade room with WiFi, the staff looked not happy. My teen girl was very disappointed for her trip to Chicago. She always wants to stay in hotel but this time she didn't want to stay longer.
Loved the Luxurious Amenities this hotel offers. Our room was comfortable, cold, and dark. All we needed was a fan to soothe me to sleep and upon calling the front desk, they delivered a fan to our room. Only negative I have is that our room had poor lighting. I'm a makeup artist so lighting is key for anyone to put on makeup, let alone a professional makeup artist like myself. Upgrade the lighting please!!

From the Bell Desk to the Front Desk to the Housekeeping staff, we were pampered and spoiled and my wife is an artist so she really got into the decor. In a word, nothing.
The receptionist messed up my receipt.I used my company's card to stay and I am the only person who stay in the hotel.And when checking out,I just asked for the receipt but didn't check it.after coming back,I have to use the receipt to do my reinbursement,but found out that it is not under my name and the stay person wrote down two,which looks pretty bad on me!i called the hotel to change the receipt name,they refused it bc it is a past reservation! The most annoying thing is that when I checked out using the compan card,I asked them if it is ok to pay with a card not under my name.they didn't say anything.and the worst thing is that the receptionist change the name of my reservation in the system and didn't tell me about it.moreover,the receipt amount doesn't match my reservation amount which is also ridiculous!!!All in all, this experiment almost cost me to not be able to reinburse my stay. They r obviously not professional and it gives me a really bad memory here!

The location. My wife and I went to see the Phantom of the Opera playing next door at the Cadillac Palace. I can't say enough about the convenience of having the hotel next door. no having to walk blocks to our vehicle. Walked down the sidewalk and into the hotel, was able to avoid the cold Chicago weather. The Room. We stayed in Room 405. Our view out of the 2 windows, the first was a brick wall, the second, an alley way. At about 2am, for some reason the windows decided they wanted to bang against the frame endlessly, not allowing neither my wife or I to sleep. The bed was definately not a King Bed, and for it being a Premier Room, I would have expected the bathroom to be bigger than the size of a closet. I can't say I wouldn't stay here again, but would want to see the room before check-in.

Chicago is a beautiful city. The River Hotel couldn't have been located any better. Our view was ok nothing great because we were in the 2nd floor. The hotel staff was very nice. And the marble stair case was gorgeous. I liked that they had complimentary bottled water. That's help whenever you walking continuously around the city. I had issues about several things that may not matter to some people but it bothered me. I asked twice for a sleeping mask and the first night they're were out said they'll get some in the next day. On the next day I asked again and they already have them out.?.? I feel they should have notated I requested one the first day and then have it ready the next. The bed linens leave something to be desired. They use a flat sheet for the bottom sheet which kept coming undone. The comforter wasn't big enough for the bed. It continuously kept falling off so in the middle of the night I had to get up and cover my wife back up. The room was for the most part clean. However I drop something and when I looked under the bed I saw individual skittles covered in dust :-/. And the restaurant... We tried to eat and drink there but the service was terrible. Took 20 mins to get menus and a water. I guess they're understaffed? But we left before ordering anything due to the service. The overal stay wasn't terrible. I would stay there again but I would never pay full price for it.
Incredible views of the river and downtown. Walking distance to Navy Pier, Willis Tower and lots of other great restaurants and fun places. Staff was very helpful, have a son in a wheel chair and they went out of their way to help. Great Italian/pizza restaurant in lobby. Historic style building with very clean modern rooms.
The River Hotel is very conveniently located and has a nice restaurant downstairs that has a nice beverage selection and even deep dish Chicago pizza (along with a diverse selection of salads, pasta, and meat dishes). The A/C was great and the mattress was comfortable. We were able to check in an hour and a half early, which was very nice. The room was tiny - literally the same size as many of the hotel rooms we stayed in in Japan. The toiletries and furnishings were the bare minimum - don't forget to bring the bar of soap to the shower if you want to use it there instead of at the sink! Finally, the elevator situation is terrible. Multiple times, we had to wait well over 10 minutes for an elevator to get to our room. Be sure to budget in extra time if you're on a schedule!

The elevator service was terrible. We would often wait over 20 minutes to catch the elevator during the day, and the stairs were not practical when you're staying in the 28th floor.

The room was nice - great view. Chair could have used an ottoman but actually had good magazines to enjoy while relaxing in the room. Keurig coffee in room, which is always nice to have. Hotel was busy during our stay, but the room was quiet. The check in process was poorly organized and there were not enough people at the concierge desks to handle the number of guests. Overall I found the staff to be less than helpful and not particularly friendly. Our room wasn't ready until after 4 - and they were supposed to text or call when it was ready and they never did. We booked the hotel for a weekend get-away and not sure we'd go back.

Love the location near River & Lake Michigan. River walk has so much to offer right outside the doors. Walkable to most major attractions. Just off from the crowds of Michigan Ave. This is our 4th time and always my first choice when visiting Chicago.
I booked a room in Chicago at the Swissotel for two nights and after reading the horror stories about kayak bookings through getaroom, I was a bit apprehensive. Based on my travel plans and circumstances, I was able to risk it and make other lodging plans if necessary, so I risked the inconvenience of whatever troubles getaroom might cause me. Fortunately, I did not run into any troubles at all and had a wonderful stay at a luxurious hotel that is in a great location. I received all the service and privileges of a normal stay at the Swissotel. No complaints.
It was in a pretty great location and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were well kept and comfortable, though do need a bit of updating. We did not receive a very warm welcome upon driving up to the hotel. It took us a minute to find a valet and a bellhop.
Nice views from the room and the fitness center. Very clean and quiet despite how busy the lobby was with guests! Low, popcorn ceilings really make the room feel more like a motel than a high-rise! The room was a bit outdated overall. Also the location was not super easy to access on foot - ended up taking more cabs than we would have liked.
Location was great for Michigan Avenue shopping as well as Shedd Aquarium, Museums, and Navy Pier. The pool and hot tub were great. The water temperature was perfect for kids. The view was excellent from the top floor, which is where the pool/fitness area is located. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Elevator system was easy. The overall design of the hotel was a bit unique and differentiated from other Chicago 4 Star + choices. We valet parked the car. When you leave, you go down to the parking garage to exit. The corner to drive out and up the ramp is super tight . I ended up scraping my back door pretty substantially. It was operator error for sure. I would just caution others to be careful as they leave or ask one of the valet guys who do this all the time to drive it through the corner.
We did not expect a room with a view but we got one and it was amazing! The rooms were also very large and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We were right beside the elevators so we heard them often but we got used to it. At first if just sounded like a plane flying overhead until we figured it out but it was no where near a deal breaker for booking again.
We've been going to the Chicago hotel for many yrs. We enjoy the location.
Beds super comfy; Felt like I was staying at a spa; Staff super friendly and helpful; beautiful view of the river and partial skyline; GPS kept wanting to take me to the closed parking garage underground; Had to ask other hotel valet down there how to get up top to my hotel (not hotel's fault). Valet expensive ($70), but guess it's the norm for Chicago.
Free wifi and free water. My "queen" bed was really two twin beds pushed together which lead to an uncomfortable nights sleep. The room was also the size of a closet but I was too exhausted from my flight to put up a stink.
Very clean and comfortable with a great location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel offered many free services (free bottled water, printing, snacks, coffee...etc.). On site restaurant was very good. Bathroom and shower was very small but manageable. Bathroom had a frosted glass door that was surprisingly see through. Plan parking in advance to avoid either paying a small fortune for parking or having to park several blocks away.
Loved the free coffee and water on each level. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Walls were thin, and you could hear other guests making noises and playing music in their rooms.
The location is absolutely perfect if you're visiting Chicago from out of town. However, the rooms are small and basic so if you're not planning on staying in the room that much it's perfect.
It was a great place to stay - stayed here for business travel. They're professional all around. Don't get a car here; expensive for parking. You shouldn't have one in Chicago anyway.
We stayed at the Club Quarters because it's a block away from the Chicago passport office, and was reasonably priced. Checkin and staff were great, very helpful and attentive, very accommodating. The business center in the basement is very convenient, however, it didn't offer color printing and we were prepping for a visit to the passport office which required color printing. The staff have me a list of kinkos/fedex offices which offered color printing, however the list was outdated and I wasted an hour running all over the city following old information. I share this with the staff and hope they have updated the info. I would have gladly paid for color printing, and was wishing I spent the extra $$ to stay at a Hilton, which reliably has color printing.
The room layouts are convenient, the cleanness of the hotel is up to par, and the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chicago and there is a convenient social bar downstairs! Customer service representatives at the front desk were not helpful. I personally would not recommend this hotel before another hotel because of the service I received; but the hotel is very nice and in a great location.
Great for a business trip where you don't spend a ton of time in the room. Not so great for a couple's getaway weekend. Room was rather small and room was in need of upgrades.
TV service did not offer NBC and possibly ABC. Otherwise a great place and location. The other stay a couple of weeks ago - the phone did not work. Could't call to the front desk. Phone was dead and even after reporting this continued to be dead for the whole week.
My wife and I have always stayed north of the river but chose this one to stay in a different part of the city but be close to everything. We loved the location to CTA stops because used that to get around the city. We loved the location's proximity to basically anything that we needed. The staff was very informative and friendly. My wife enjoyed the chilled water bottle stations on each floor. The elevator runs very quick compared to other Chicago hotels that we have stayed at. The room service and food deliveries run late into the night. We purchased our room online so maybe we were not given the best room. Our room was in a "hole" of sorts. There was absolutely zero views from the small window and barely any sunshine. The size of the flatscreen tv left much to be desired. Most hotels now at least have a 40" tv. There was no microwave in the room and not one that we could access down in the lobby area. The bed was not overly comfortable. Again, we loved most things about hotel because we chose it more as a crash location, not a place to stay all day.

Outstanding service and staff. The room was clean and they had a fitness room that wasn't busy. Also, they had these purified water stations on each floor. Very small room and the treadmills were pretty low quality.

I hosted a meeting while I was there and their banquet staff was exceptional! They were able to make changes last minute. If they didn't know the answer to a question they found out for me. They were always smiling and always on top of every detail without my asking. The side chair & mattress were a little harder than I prefer.

Booked through kayak the day of to arrive and no record of my booking at hotel. Card was swiped twice, so I had to wait past my stay for the authorization to fall off for the $700 charge. It was a messy situation and one that shouldn't happen while I am taking a break.
Beautiful hotel all around. Incredible pool deck, one of the best I've seen, Upscale, and very clean. The noise from fire station nearby meant that we had to keep the balcony door closed and so it was a waste to pay the extra money for a balcony you can't enjoy. Very expensive parking.

Location - very convenient. One of those hotels that tries to make money on every little extra. Cockroaches on the 26th floor where our room was. Reported it to the front desk - they didn't sound surprised at all.
I honestly felt like I stole from them for getting my room that cheap! It's a truly 5 star place it's close to everything you could want to do downtown! The staff is very friendly and amazing! The rooms are very nice and pretty big!

But restaurant was mediocre and priced straight insulting, $29 for a buffet with no omelette bar, no fresh Oj, nothing fresh. Worst buffet for the money ever. #2. No snacks on floors and $5 for 20 Pringles potato chips. No snack food in area especially late night. Room service slow and speedy. #3. $70 for parking. No validation or discount for hotel customers, across the street its $35 also borderline insulting

I chose Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park because of its location and good reputation. After my stay at the hotel I am glad that I made a right choice. When I was checking into the hotel there was some confusion about my reservation. I reserved two rooms but the hotel reservation system showed only one room under my name. After I presented my two hotel reservation vouchers and email communication the front desk manager quickly gave me two rooms without unnecessary delay (the room types were exactly what I requested when I made my reservation). The hotel front desk manager and staff were very courteous while they were trying to sort it out. I and my family had a great stay there. It's location and free room wi-fi connection were excellent.
I don't recomend for people who go in a group of people! I went there with 3 more friends. They gave us a room with only 1 bed. CAN YOU SLEEP 4 people in 1 bed? Or do you prefer to sleep in a couch? That's what they said; "sorry, but that's what is available" WHO PAYS A DAMN EXPENSIVE ROOM TO SLEEP IN A COUCH?
I will be a Fairmont customer for life. Anytime I am to stay in a hotel, I will be looking to see if there is a Fairmont location available. The staff is always accommodating and VERY polite. I cannot praise them enough. Even the representatives on the phone were extremely helpful. I thank those that assisted in my experience with the most sincere gratitude I can express. I cannot say anything unkind about this hotel. I notice that some reviewers have stated things like the ceiling is water-stained and there's some damage to this or that. Honestly, I just told the service desk about there being a slight water stain on the ceiling in the bathroom. Other than that I didn't have any issues, and this is my second time staying at this hotel. Really though, are you staying in a hotel because you want the entire room to look brand new? Please redirect yourself to a room in another hotel that costs around 3 times the price of what the Fairmont's rates are. I assure you, for the price offered for the rooms in this hotel, you will not find a better experience.

The parking garage is located right next door and was very easy to access. No need to spend money on valet parking, unless you don't like carrying your luggage. Parking next door was 1/2 the cost. (About $35 per day). Safe area. Great location! No free WiFi in rooms. In order to use free WiFi, you had to go to the lobby. Pricey stay for no internet access in room.
Location is second to none Absolutely no amenities or service. No breakfast. No luggage carts. No frills hotel. Don't expect anything but a place to sleep. We aren't unhappy at all. Just not impressed for the money we spent
Staff was extremely friendly including maids, front desk, and bellhops. I stayed on a high floor which had only 2 other rooms. No problem with elevators. My room had a great view over the Chicago River and was larger than I expected. Taxis were immediately available, but also a great location to walk to many things. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
Good location, just across the Chicago River from Trump Tower. Very convenient to the heart of the city. The staff, including the house maintenance personnel, was very nice and responsive to our request. Bedbugs, my wife was bitten 4 times. Not pretty. No air conditioning due to a dual pipe system which has already been converted from chillers to boiler even though the afternoon temps. were in the eighties. We had to ask for a portable fan. Old building with small, slow elevators. Rooms need to be updated. Toilet leaked and left puddle on the floor. When we picked our bags up from checked bag storage, my fold -over suitcase had been unzipped and remained opened. Would not stay here again.

The staff was great. TIm at the front desk was very helpful and patient. Very helpful with directions and suggestions for dining. The location couldn't have been better - right on the river front. Could walk the lake shore down to the aquarium and Field Museum. Walking distance to Magnificent Mile shopping . CTA stop is very close. Room was small, but clean Walls not that soundproof. Would have liked a complimentary breakfast, but there is a place right next door and an Einstein's Bagel a few blocks away.
This is a great historic building, classic Chicago, in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The "living room" on the second floor offers a convenient space for meeting or relaxing.

This hotel is all about location. If you are planning to stay in the downtown Chicago area choose a hotel that is next to river front and Club Quarters is one such hotel. Nothing really. Hotel lacks in complimentary services and some amenities like a refrigerator and a microwave oven in the Standard room type. Probably this is by design.

The location allowed us to walk everywhere. We came to attend the Blues festival in Grant Park and the art museum. The staff was very professional and helpful. Silly as it sounds,the fingerprints on the glass entrance doors drove me crazy. I also did not like the glass drinking glasses in the room. As nice as they were, I did not know how they had been cleaned and would have opted for a plastic covered disposable glass.
Loved the location the staff and the bed Hated not having a tub , shower only . The room view was a metal structure and a concrete wall . The room was very small.
Public spaces, vibe, decor, the radio in room. The inability to do a normal load of laundry -- either by myself or by the pound -- they only offered laundry with rates like $5 per pair of underwear was a major hassle/shockingly overpriced. Rooms are pretty small and most face an old factory-type building, but that's no big deal.

Great location, and beautiful view from the rooftop bar. Renovations in the building are really wonderful, and we enjoyed having coffee in the morning in the lobby area. Unfortunately, the hotel can't decide if it's catering to its guests, or the long line of people waiting to get up to the rooftop. Elevators were extremely slow, and we were told not to take the stairs, even though there was no sign saying staff only. Additionally, the design of the room trumps function. I wish there was a place to hang my towels. And it was dark--I had to move my suitcase underneath the light to find my clothes. And yes, the shower leaked everywhere and was a little cold. But it all looked nice.
This hotel has a really nice "members only" feel to it like a stodgy old man city club with out the stodginess. it is beautifully decorated and the rooms were not your usual doer and feel. There are so many different venues to choose from that we could have never led the hotel. The drinks and food are a bit pricey, but it fits. The only thing I would change about the room is that we wished there was an in room coffee maker. With all of the other stuff they put in the room to charge you for, a coffee make would have been nice. Also, we had to order ice from guest services as there are no ice machines on the floor.

Location, location, location Two blocks from Chicago 'bean' - cloud gate and parks. Front of hotel with construction for 'E' was not pretty -- but we never heard any noise in our room.

We got a great rate on kayak. The room was spacious, bathroom was huge, and shower was great. Lots of storage and hangers. Staff was extremely helpful, very nice, and very quick when help was needed. The view of the room was awful. We looked at a very dirty alleyway with a view of a brick wall. Also our truck was damaged by the valet service. They assured us they would make it right, so that's why I still gave them 4 stars.

I liked that it was close to everything we wanted! The wifi was slow! They had no ice machines in the hallways so we had to call every time for the front desk to being some to us. When entering the hotel it had a clean but smelly odor it was weird! We requwsted with a nice view but we got the back of another buildings view! The shower had some mold!
Didn't stay here long but got upgraded to a beautiful suite. Great facilities, decor, etc. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a great choice!
Everyone was just so helpful - whether it was advice on the train system, to off the beaten path restaurants or activities, all of the staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our trip to Chicago. The room was very quiet - we seldom heard any noise outside of our door. There was a bit of construction outside the hotel, but even that added to the peace we felt at the facility.

The location was excellent. Toilet ran all night, mold in the shower, rooms exceptionally small, no convenient place for computer.

Loved the staff at the Hyatt! They were amazingly helpful, especially Ariana who was there no matter what we needed. From the valets to the housekeepers they were so wonderful. The business center was very helpful and the latte's were delicious. The room was really quite loud. The air conditioner would kick on and wake me up several times a night. We were also close to the elevator (which I know is unavoidable) and could hear word for word the conversations in the hallway. This made for a rough night's sleep.
Great location--close to everything we needed. Super friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable accommodations. The bathroom was poorly separated from the bedroom. With a gap above the hanging door to the bathroom area and a much bigger gap above the glass door that made up the toilet room, it was almost like we were in there together. Not very romantic.

The overall experience was great - facilities, location and staff were wonderful The corner lounge was strange in terms of food offerings, everyone shows up for breakfast expecting to find dry cereal, bananas or a pop tart. Get rid of the candy and party mix and offer a minimal continental breakfast.
Room was nice, roomy bathroom, clean. Good location. The staff was nice. Roof top bar was enjoyable with good food and drinks. Price to keep the car over night was expensive.

We hadn't intended on using the pool but if we had we would have been disappointed bc it was closed for 48 hours (the length of our stay).
Location is excellent for access to all Chicago has to offer. They are renovating and the construction noice was a bit tedious. My room was clean and adequate but there were visible signs of disrepair. Cracked drywall, buckled ceiling and signs of water damage on one wall.

We liked the cleaning lady. She was kind and the most professional. We also liked the gentlemen who helped us get a cab. He was kind and treated us like family. I didn't like how I specifically paid for a standard dooblw queen room months in advance for three days only to arrive and they tell me, "sorry we on have one queen a couch and a cot". This was not a first come first serve. They told me on the phone specifically what i would have. He room unpaid for. Never once did they try to accomidatw me the next day or offer a discount for the inconvenience.I paid over 700$ so my older boys could sleep on a cot that hurt his back and a roll out couch that the springs poked through . This was our first time to Chicago.
Nice pool. Parking was overpriced and when I asked the receptionist for assistance in locating cheaper parking, she told me that I would just have to walk around and find it. The security guard was very helpful in assisting me with that. Turns out a cheaper parking garage was actually next door. Got into my room to discover that they checked me in for the wrong room. I had ordered and had a confirmation receipt for a standard double, she had given me a single queen. When I tried to call down from the room phone, I could never get through to the front desk. When I called from my cell phone as a new customer, I was able to get through and it took some arguing and reluctance on the clerk's part and a long hold before they would honor the receipt I had for the room I paid for. I had ordered and paid for my room over a month in advance. No hotel restaurant or bar, which forces you to go next door to the Hilton and discover how much nicer their place is. I will not be staying here again.
My room had a beautiful view and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Decor is a bit dated and the pool was a too green for me to feel good about swimming in it.

It was a clean place to lay your head at night. The staff was nice and courteous. The TV and refrigerator were modern and worked well. The construction around the hotel is pretty scary. The heating system of the hotel is ancient and it was hard to get to a comfortable temperature without opening the window.
Great accommodations for the price, friendly staff with awesome recommendations, clean and in a great location. Would definitely recommend! Only real negative was that the room was constantly too hot with no way to adjust heater or turn on air conditioning. Had to have the window open the whole time to keep temperature down and was still way too hot. Microwaves to reheat food would also be a great addition.
Easy reservations, numerous email reminders, e-checkin with room preference, quick check in and valet service, nice roomy quiet room. Parking added 30% to the cost of room. The cost of parking in Chicago is a major negative to doing business in the city. The restaurant attached to the hotel ran out of black tea. The waiter indicated it happens frequently. The hotel lobby had no black tea. How can you run out of black tea?
The hotel's location was ideal and the staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful especially in providing local recommendations. We requested and were told we would be receiving a feather-free room but the room we were checked into had feather pillows and a down comforter.
The location can't be beat, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredible helpful and welcoming. The room was advertised as having a special bathtub, a key reason we booked this room. However, the bath wasn't anything special. It was just a typical hotel short tub, not the large tub we were hoping for. I would have paid a premium for a nice tub, but there are no such things at the Monaco, so we were stuck.
Great location near the CTA, riverwalk, theaters, shopping. Dog friendly! We have a Lab/Great Dane mix that we took along on a weekend. There is an off leash dog park 2 blocks away. The parking is expensive if you use the hotel valet. You can save about half if you book a spot at a nearby garage through spothero or another site.
Great, attentive staff. Terrific location by the river. Comfortable bed. Lobby Door staff was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Expensive for what you get. Room a/c is on energy saving computer load management, so it can take ten minutes to respond. River view 7th floor deluxe king Room had one uncomfortable arm chair, and a tiny sliver of a window that allowed one to see the bridge over the river, but, no water or boats. Exercise room was a joke, just A universal and dumbells. Free morning coffee a plus, but offset with tiny cups and mediocre coffee blend. Free evening wine was nice, but unlike far less expensive embassy suites, no snacks offered.
one of the two hotel elevators was not working... we were on the 11th floor.. it took nearly 30 minutes each time to get an elevator..the AC was not working . The room was nice and comfortable.. however the AC and the elevator really created a bit of stress for us... the cost for the weekend visit 2 nights was not acceptable given the conditions.. When I asked the front desk clerk to adjust our bill she went on about how they were working on getting the elevator repair but it was difficult on the weekend.. still no satisfaction on my end. The room was amazing and the location couldn't have been any better. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The complementary hot chocolate and wine were also amazing. The only problem I had with the stay is that the hotel parking lot charges $58 a night.

Complementary coffee in the morning, and the restaurant staff was so kind, prompt and helpful. In Room 512, there are a total of only 4 drawers (including one next to the fridge), and for two people staying, one being a woman, some more drawers would have been nice.
Even when we don't travel with our dog we enjoy our stays at the Kimpton hotels. Wonderful people in each city we've visited and always a most comfortable stay.
The wit hotel is definitely a great spot. My husband and I went on a very cold winter day. It was nice they have the club/bar on 27th this way we didn't have to leave the hotel. We would stay ther again.
Rooms were big and spacious, on state street and walking distance to Michigan Avenue and very popular for their restaurants. Housekeeping were take time to clean the rooms, I would go out from morning and come back and the room was still not cleaned.

The room was clean and interesting and the hotel well situated in the heart of things. Concierges were particularly accomodating. The rooftop lounge- to which guests get priority access seemed 'the' place to be at night The business centre ( internet access and printers) was painfully frigid and the computers not user friendly.

Great location to everything in the city! You can walk to the Riverwalk which has so many things to do! very clean hotel and staff is so so accommodating and welcoming! The bed was very uncomfortable! Had a huge dip in the middle of the mattress! Other than that no complaints

The rooftop bar is amazing...during the winter, however, the lounge is enclosed and not much to talk about. Our room had a gorgeous view of the river, the bed was comfortable, linens were great, and the big tv was like being in bed at a movie theatre. The workout facility was very cool, like a trip to the future. Great stay, we would do it again for sure.

The city is amazing and being able to come back to a great place to rest makes a big difference between a good trip and an awesome trip. The staff was incredibly polite, and the customer service at this place is above and beyond.

My son and I had a great stay at London House! It is located perfectly and is within walking distance or a short Uber ride of Navy Pier, Millenium Park, OTC. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff was friendly! We tried to eat at the hotel restaurant to avoid going out in a storm. The restaurant is more of a bar setting and the menu is not family friendly. Needless to say we braved the storm, got soaked! Great memory! Lots of good places to eat around the hotel.
Location, design, service. Soundproofing could be better, for something so new, too many items weren't working.
