Food selection in the buffet does not change daily. The hotel could consider changing their towels to a softer brand.

The location . The pools and the staff was friendly.
The pools close too early at 7 pm. The room smelled like sewer. The water stunk. The water in the room stunk. Our clothes and suitcases smelled like it when we got back. The food wasnt as good as it used to be. We were there 15 years ago. Not the same

Great service, staff is on too if their game and trained well. Amenities were great and a lot of different food and drink options available. Cleanliness was top notch.
Pool hours are only until 7pm, which was a huge bummer. Pool is a main attraction and they should extend the hours till 10pm. Daily Stage performance at LA Fiesta should be made more creative. People were not really enjoying it, and neither did I.

The Hotel Riu Cancun is located in one of the most popular tourist destinations for Cancun, and it features gorgeous sandy beaches alongside turquoise water. The hotel is a short ride from the airport and getting to and from there is easy thanks to its complementary shuttles, taxis, and car rentals that are available.
When it comes to day-to-day activities in the area, in addition to the beach that the hotel is on, the famous Plaza La Isla is a short drive down the road to meet any guest's shopping needs, and then there is the beach pavilion further down the island that many people enjoy as well. The city of Cancun itself has a lot of things to enjoy as well. There are many restaurants, parks, nightclubs, and more guests can easily take advantage of.
Hotel Riu Cancun is an all-inclusive resort with many options when it comes to rooms that will appeal to a variety of travelers. There are rooms ranging from double standards that include air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, safes, refrigerators, and the balcony to the luxurious suites that have all of those amenities plus hydro-massage bathtubs. The suites also feature gorgeous views of the sea.
On the hotel grounds, there are three swimming pools as well as a free gym and whirlpool bath. There are also programs for the kids to enjoy and entertainment options during both the night and day for adults. Guests can enjoy the live shows, live music, and excellent dance opportunities as well.

How can I get from Cancun International Airport to the Riu Cancun?
The easiest way to get to the Riu Cancun from the airport is to book a private transfer, either with a taxi or with a shared shuttle bus that will drop you off at the hotel. If you choose to go with a taxi, expect to pay 956 MXN (around 50 USD) for two persons for a one-way trip and you will get to the hotel in about 20m, while a shared shuttle bus will cost about 439 MXN (23 USD) per person for a return trip, and the trip will take about 30m as the bus will be making a few other stops along the way.
