Our stay at Be Manos was very short and the staff did everything they could to make our short stay comfortable and to accomodate our schedule. nothing
Cool design, friendly staff The area around the hotel is not very good
Well designed and comfortable and spacious room, hospitable staff, brilliant facilities, great lounge bar, delicious breakfast, the location to Brussels Midi. The area it is located in is not great, but as we were only passing for the night, it was perfectly located for us. The a la carte menu seemed expensive, but it was maybe the standard rate for Belgium and also based on the Euro/£ rate.
room size and design
Size of the room, service by the hotel staff, comfort of the room and design. The area around the hotel was not the best side of town!
Outstanding desing. The most original and fashionable hotel i have staied in. The area is somehow lower grade, because it is close to the railway station. However, this is convenient and that's why i picked the hotel in the first place. It is an ok compromise of what you get to experience at Be Manos.
It's a modern 5-star hotel with unique design, and at standard rate I would hesitate to choose it - but booking.com rate was pretty interesting. Rooms are simply large, fully equipped with all facilities a couple could need - because it is actually the hotel for couples, to let them have a good time together. For me it was important that the hotel is close to Gare du Midi. Wi-Fi internet was slow and rather unreliable. Neighbourhood of the hotel is as well not too spectacular, with garbage heaps on the streets. Furthermore, the hotel is somewhat hidden from main traffic corridors - you need to know exactly, where are you heading.
The Hotel is very comfortable and beautifully designed, the staff was happy to help with any requests.
The property is very modern and well maintained. The staff is very attentive. The service from the train station is a nice touch. The Wi-fi is not strong throughout the hotel, but reception gave me a cable to connect direct.
Sounds of water at the morning, peaceful atmosphere, first class staff. This is faboulous 5 stars hotel and Im going to visit it again in the future. NA
Quite good location. You have to pay for the Wi-Fi service, but the connection is really bad. It will disconnect for 15 seconds in a minute but it will automatically reconnect. Staffs did not let me to refund that.
Breakfast, Hotel Staff is ok. No hot water in bathroom..
The staff was very friendly, the lobby was beautiful and the garden was very nice. The rooms did not match the lobby in terms of looks. There was no AC, we were facing buildings that played loud music all night long which was unavoidable because the windows had to be wide open since it was so hot, and it was only June.
Good hotel - clean, fairly modern, very good value for money. Will be happy to stay again. Breakfast - good choice (cold cuts, bacon and eggs, cereals, juices, pastries - all good quality) Location - good, not very central but still only 20 min walk to Grand Place. Close to Midi station but no usual dodgy railway station surroundings whatsoever. It was a bit cold in my room as the heater was weak - was ok for me but may be uncomfortable if the weather were colder
the restaurant was excelent will visit again there was a problem with the shower it kept going from hot to cold
Liked the price, ease of booking, cleanliness of room and the fact it was lovely and warm. Hotel reception staff were very poor, I booked a taxi on arrival for the next morning, the next morning I tried to confirm with reception 30 mins before pick up that all was ok - they said it was fine, no need to check with the taxi firm;what a surprise - taxi never turned up! When I finally managed to persuade reception to ring the taxi company (they just kept saying "get the metro!") they found out the taxi had never been booked in teh first place!! No apology from teh hotel reception staff, nothing. I was over an hour late for my meeting all because the reception staff were too lazy and ignorant to do thier job properly and offer a decent level of customer service.
The Breakfast was good and hotel position was ease to find. The neighbourhood is not so good.
good breakfast, combination of good rate/good location near the train station and in the same time good service late check in - after 15 p.m.
good location. good bathroom. very poor wifi. lack of light in the room.
Good location (metro 2 min, center 10 min walking) Narrow!!! corridors, passage, stairs, lift!!!
The room was functional but the heating was not working and it was snowing very hard and it was very cold inside the room, infact my wife and I emptied our cases onto the bed to keep warm
Room has plenty of space, clean and tidy. Breakfast was awesome. The staff's were really friendly. Wifi in our room didnt work , we were in 406, but the wifi works when we step out of our room.
The beds seemed clean, the room as a whole seemed ok. Helpful front desk, buffet breakfast included, close to Midi Station. The lobby and rooms are ok, but all through the halls and elevators, stairwells... is in dyer need of repair and smells like cats/urine. The terrace of our room was blocked off by a humungous desk. We found that the terrace door was open and could not lock it even though we were on the first floor, someone could walk in. We secured a piece of rope from the desk chair to the door handle just in case while we slept. We quickly realized why the door was open upon arrival, there is no air ventilation whatsoever.
The hotel's location was very good, both in terms of walking distance to the main attractions of Brussels and in terms of public transport access - the hotel is very close to a subway station. While the reception was usually manned with friendly and helpfull staff, there was one person who was less than friendly and seemed to be bothered by any request from the guests. However, the biggest problem of the hotel are the very thin walls. You end up hearing not only what happens in the hallway, but also what goes on in the rooms next to yours. Thus, stay away from this hotel if you need a good night sleep to, e.g., perform well at a business meeting the next morning.
The bathroom was large and clean. Although relatively clean, the hotel needs renovation.
pick-up from station. Good food. Back door always open so cold when eating dinner. School party staying at the hotel were very noisy in the corridors. No apparant cable TV - no English channels found anyway.
The relatively low rate, the rich breakfast buffet and the flexibility of the reception stuff when I asked to keep the room till early afternoon on the departure day without extra charge
Good and comfortable The neighbourhood is not so ideal
stay were really friendly and helpful. And just being a 6 minute walk from the major tourist attraction "Grand Place" was excellent. Bathroom, didn't look too clean. Locks on room doors old fashioned and I didnt trust them.
good hotel staff breakfast is not as good as it should be for a 3 star hotel. In many 2 star hotel you will find it better. Juices are filled with water.
Breakfast was pretty bad. Coffee worst in the world.
Walking distance of Grand Place Breakfast, rooms, hotel area, pics deceiving
Friendly staff. The location. The area looks very "shady", especially at night.
The apartment (which we were upgraded to) was excellent value for money. We loved the view from the large NY style window at night! Also the common room downstairs was lovely.. especially to relax after a long day of walking before getting our return home flight. The room smelt a little of cigarettes when it was advised that it was strictly non smoking.
two separate blankets for each bed No
The apartment was great, and the laundry service was a life saver (travelling with two kids). One of the staff members (with dark hair/glasses) was rude to me on one occasion when I asked for an extra duvet cover. It was very surreal actually but he was annoyed that we had not stated in our reservation that we were travelling with two children (even though the undeclared child was 9 months old and therefore stayed for free). He suggested that we should pay an extra EUR 45 per night! However it was his tone which was very offensive. If it wasn't for this guy I would rate the other staff as excellent. He doesn't have any right to speak to guests like that for no reason.
The location was very out of the way. The hotel was more of a remodeled apartment building. There was no air conditioning or TV service.
great room, great price, near railway station Because it's an apartment-hotel, there's no one at the desk nights or early mornings. This could be a problem, though they do provide an emerhency phone number. And the immediate area isn't particularly charming.
The room was very best - byt very cheap! The personal don't have Russian language(
free wi-fi, excellent staff, very quite neighborhood
Free internet No breakfast
The was the best value hotel I have ever stayed in - the apartment was enormous, the furniture was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a computer available to use in the sitting room downstairs. Not in the most attractive neighborhood, but it was very convenient for the train station, and the streets were not noisy. The only slight inconvenience was that we did not get very good wifi reception in our room.
Receptionist very friendly and willing to accomodate our late arrival with no problems. Beautiful room, huge windows, nice view. Finding a parking spot was a little bit difficult. Noisy bar across the street. A little bit far from downtown (not within walking distance)
It was nearbij the place I had the meeting!
Personnel service oriented at reception. Location of the hotel in whatit looked like a gheto area.
breakfast carpets were horrible. worn out carpets and smelly furnishings made my stay a misery. I could not breathe in the room without opening the window. worst hotel room I have ever stayed in an European country
friendly staff + atmosphere, good breakfast, clean room, no-smoking policy it was not possible to pay by credit card, apparently the machine was out of order. Also the public transportation (bus) is 2 blocks away.
Friendly staff, good selection of restaurants and bars nearby Limited parking
Nice no expensive hotel
The room was clean and comfortable. Poor service and hostel like corridors.
Free car parking and then very convenient for Metro travel throughout Brussels at very cheap fares Breakfast a bit difficult when 2 coach parties also staying at hotel. Would like tea/coffee maker in room
The breakfast The cleanliness of the bathroom
The Staff was excelent and did everything to make us feel comfortable. No, nothing at all. I liked this hotel and I think I will go there again in the future.
It is close to the train station Too expensive for the quality of room, tore sheets on bed, electric heater that I switched off at night, leaving temperature cold,
closeliness to metro the restaurant inside. The worse pizza I never eaten! And is run by an italian guy! Please go outside for dinner!
Easy to find, ample parking, right next to Metro station. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately the hotel's restaurant was closed throughout our stay.
Although out of the city centre, the hotel is well located and the Metro terminal station is only 5 minutes' walk away. The hotel has free car parking, the staff are friendly, helpful and English-speaking and the reasonably-priced restaurant is open every evening - useful if you don't want to trek into the city after a long day.
calm, freindly staffs, good connection with city 20 minutes, not really
Services and assistances received No internet or parking facilities
the structure is under refurbishment, some rooms are already fixed some other are in the process to be adjourned but still acceptable quality. Bathroom and shower efficient, free internet very efficient parking on the public street may be not easy sometimes but still it is a quiet area and a little walk will make the trick
All very good Quite a journey to centre but doable
good connection to public transport, peaceful area, free WI-FI glass jars and cutlery were not well washed
Nice pleasant hotel
The room and the bathroom were clean. The Saint Guidon metro station is on a 15 minutes walk distance. The neighborhood was quiet during the nights. The reception is closed during the night.
Staff very helpful with help we needed for finding our way around etc. very polite at all times. Excellent worker. Door would'nt lock , showerhead holder broken, radiators set on for limited time, even though it was very cold & snowy.
I appreciated the location, the calm, the ease of transport into the centre, the self-catering facilities. The appartment was spacious and light, well-heated and well-appointed. I was disappointed mostly with the breakfast. It was more of a snack provision for the day, and although copious, I would have appreciated fresh bread, a selection of "real" Belgian cold meats and cheese, and a way of making real filter coffee (not instant!). The pre-packed industrial "bread" I left, and crossed the road to buy some fresh stuff. A pot of fresh coffee would have been very welcome too.
Hotel is non smoking, but the manager at the reception was able to smoke as 10 smokers so the odoor at the corridors were very fresh.
Leaving. pulling the door behind you gives you a great feeling of freedom and dignety. The beds needed to be replaced 10 yrs ago, the free wifi is not free and the password you buy is sold a few times so you fight for an ip, you can hear everybody running and screeming in the building cause of no carpet to take the sound, the moist on the walls, the elevator that does not work, the garbage is collected in the hall (against healthregulations), the toilet keeps running all night, the noise of the planes to wake you up at 6 in the morning when you finally fell asleep at 5 cause of the beds
