Friendly front desk staff
Not a good location. Overpriced. Cannot find a taxi at front door. Huge problem with intoxicated guest, kept me awake and upset. Will not return
The staff was very friendly and the location was great to get to everything we wanted to do.
It was to expensive for what I got in return. No fridge, no microwave in the rooms. The parking is was also expensive.
Noisy. Insulation was very bad. Could hear next door talking. Facility is very basic. For the price paid not justified. More feel like a 3 star hotel.
Front desk manager was not professional
Decor
Terrible unprofessional and incompetent front end manager. Would never go back here
Not for everyone
Very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean. Good location.
Small bathrooms with no place to put things. Not enough room in king room to put two suitcases without tripping over one of them. Parking per night $45 which to me is high. Prefer coffee in room.
A bit of a disappointment
Valet parking was ground-level and adjacent to the hotel, so the few times we needed to access the car to fetch or store things like umbrellas, it was convenient. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping the room tidy.
Hotel location was not great; one block north near the garden is a little shady. This also means any time there is a Garden event, access to the hotel can be very difficult by car (other times are just fine). The floor often smelled like marijuana. I guess the hotel allows pets because whenever I got off the elevator the dogs in the neighboring rooms all started barking. Weird.
Location
The size of rooms bathroom layouts and more....
Kayak's system sucks
They let me book this hotel. I arrived only to find that the Kayak system had listed it as available and accepted my money but not secured me a room. The hotel had to turn me away and I had to go find another hotel. It sucked.
Nice for a short stay
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful! I'm a NYer so that means a lot!
North End / TD Garden
Within walking distance of everything in the north end which is most of what you would want to see in Boston. The accommodations were well worth the price.
Awesome stay!
The ambience is cool--contemporary and funky with a sense of humor and fun thrown in. The staff at the front desk were wonderful--friendly, helpful, welcoming. Nice touches--daily complimentary wine bar in the lobby, fun animal print bathrobes in the room. The location is great, walked everywhere. Oh, and it's pet friendly!
It would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room. When I asked at the desk, however, they brought one right up.
Rooms and bathrooms were nice, fresh coffee service and water in lobby nice touch. Morning staff was lovely. Convenient to wharf and north end.
Lobby has no seatng area at all other that the restaurant, where the music blared way too loud all day. My son was resting in the room and there was literally no quiet place in the hotel to go check email or make a few calls. 2 of my 4 nights there were way overpriced, priced dropped significantly over the weekend. No concierge to help with suggestions, directions, etc. when limited front desk staff is engaged with guests.
Our West End boutique hotel offers a genuine feel that gives guests an immediate sense of belonging from the moment they enter our intimate yet edgy lobby-bar. With the ambiance of a low-key urban loft, our downtown hub proves an ideal alternative to traditional or overly trendy Boston venues. You'll immediately come to love our unscripted, genuine hospitality, bold color scheme that's both masculine and cozy and delicious fare, served at the mesmerizing Ruby Room.
