Pros: The property has a great location, free parking, and a easy, welcoming check-in. It is close to some of the better restaurants in Belize City, along with a quick walk to the Caye Ferries.
Cons: The room was uncomfortably unclean. From hair around the sink and on towels, to visible stains on the sheets, and a musty, unclean smell, I had a very uneasy stay and a restless night. Further, there was a significantly slow drain in the bathtub, resulting in the tub being 33% full only a few minutes after turning on the shower. Some may not mind this, but it is my biggest hotel pet peeve. I would not book this property again, or recommend it based on my night there.
Pros: Loved it, very charming
Pros: nice location on the water front. The only nice, safe area in Belize City
Pros: front desk staff was very nice.
Cons: thought there was a shuttle to the airport...there was not.
Restaurant located downstairs was a bit odd....
Pros: It's in a converted colonial mansion, which is very charming. The wide porch is amazing in the evening. Room and reservation ready on arrival. Room was very clean.
Cons: It's in a converted colonial mansion, with all the quirks of an old house. There's an odd split thing going on whereby the bottom-floor stuff (restaurant, bar, some other stuff) is not at all connected with the hotel. It doesn't seem to be a great location, but it's not clear that there would be a better location in Belize City.
Contrary to some listings, there is no airport shuttle (not necessarily a negative of the place, but a shortcoming of the listings).
Pros: Location to Radisson Dock was good since we were on a guys flyfishing trip .
Cons: Checkout was not professional . No receipt . Extended checkout was offered for $200 beliezian .
Cons: Much smaller than the photos make you believe. Much noisier than expected.
Pros: Great location and had some charm. Nice it was across from a Radison that had all the amenities of a large expensive hotel - including multiple restaurants. Great staff. Large rooms.
Pros: It was located close to the water taxis, and it was a clean and friendly atmosphere. The front desk staff was very helpful and able to allow us to check in early due to a change in travel plans.
Cons: The restaurant was only okay. The food was nothing special, and we were able to eat better quality food for cheaper elsewhere.
Pros: Location, friendly staff, and quiet location made it very enjoyable, despite a few "issues".
Cons: A noise (turns out the room next door had noisy water pipes, and their bath was right next to our headboard) scared the crap out of us in the middle of the night.
Pros: Good air conditioning, local charm
Cons: A lot of Mosquitos in the restaurant - definitely put on insect repellent before eating. Food and room were a little expensive
Pros: Our room was large so it was comfortable for all of us. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Only one restaurant to eat at for dinner. We stayed in Belize city to do some mainland excursions.
The Great House is just 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from the airport and offers a shuttle (available on request) for USD 13.50 per person one way. Guests looking for a bite to eat can check out The Smoky Mermaid, which serves international cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner. A bar/lounge and a terrace are offered, and rooms at this Colonial hotel get the details right with deep soaking tubs and down comforters.
Pros: The food was great and plentiful with a wild variety over the week. The cabanas were spacious and very comfortable and well appointed. The staff was always ready to serve and always with a smile. We had a great time. There were plenty of activities if you want to stay busy, but a great place to go if you want to take it easy in a relaxed environment.

Offering a beachfront location, Oceanfront Dining Terrace serves local cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's a free airport shuttle and a poolside bar, and rooms get the details right with Egyptian cotton sheets and bathrobes.
Pros: The location is convenient, it's safe, and the rooms were clean.
Cons: Service at the bar and restaurant were not great, and the appetizers at the pool bar were subpar.
Pros: Clean, friendly, great food, food and drinks were priced well.
Cons: Room was a little smaller than I expected.
Pros: Good food, close to water taxi to nearby islands.

Tours to reef, rain forest and mayan sites. This great hotel is located near the sea. The beach is 75 minutes by boat for great snorkeling, casino 5 minutes by taxi. Cons: Service was a little slow in the bar and at the restaurant.
Pros: Staff very friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed. Beautiful pool and courtyard. Food at the restaurant was decent. Location to airport great.
Cons: The power would go off and on sporadically. Gift shop credit card system was down.
Pros: Staff were nice.
Cons: The first room we got smelled horrible and it made me throw up. It also had flys. I asked to be changed and luckily they had an "extra" room and hoped that person wouldn't check in. Second room was better. shower looked dirty and bathtub was scraped. I decided to stay closer to the airport a day before flying back home since we were staying in San Pedro. Big mistake as I was so uncomfortable.
Pros: The rooms and property were great. Really nice spot in a otherwise bad city.
Cons: The restaurant staff were inattentive and the food was poor. We had trouble finding the waiter but when it came time to tip she hovered over us until we finished....
Pros: Location to airport and city; friendly staff; outside ambience - pool, plants.
Cons: Light bulb out in room and, although I wrote a note asking for it to be replaced and placed the bulb on top of the note, it wasn't replaced during the 3 days I was there. Also, VERY slow tub drain and air-conditioning stuck at one temperature (cold) no matter what temp. it was set for.
Pros: Beautiful gardens and courtyard. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good.
Cons: We were 4 guests in a room. We paid the extra rate for the 2 additional guests, however, they did not receive the complimentary breakfast and were charged the regular price for it.
Pros: The food was good.
Cons: The level of customer service. The staff were very rude at times and not friendly.
The room had a lot of flies and was not well kept.
Pros: The attentive, caring staff was a major asset. The buffet breakfasts are worth the extra cost, tasty local dishes.
Cons: My only negative comment is the VERY LOUD music from either the poolside bar or the night club. It is rowdy and attracts a lot of people from outside the hotel. Some nights it stops at 10:00 PM but on others it goes to 1:00 AM. Sleep was next to impossible. Of course this milieu would appeal to some travelers.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is a work in progress, the people work hard and when their work is done, this will be one of the nicest hotels in Belize City.
Cons: No complaints.
Located just 1.2 mi (2 km) from the airport, Bachelor Inn Hotel offers drop-off service at scheduled times. Guests can grab a bite to eat at the coffee shop/café and visit the fitness center for a workout. A rooftop terrace and free bike rentals are other highlights, and rooms at this Art Deco hotel offer up nice touches like pillowtop beds with premium linens.
Pros: The food was good. We had the stewed chicken at the calypso bay restaurant. was nice and spicy just like we eat it at home.
Cons: Did not like that there is no beach to swim, just a pool, the deserts was not so good either.
Pros: It was a nice clean hotel, good resturant, friendly staff.
It is a safe place to stay.
Cons: When we drove up there was a guard with an assault rifle standing across from the door. The hotel is not near anything.
Pros: Just minor things that is irritating. No plug for tub. Refrigerator had to be replaced. TV reception was poor.
Pros: I did not stay here due to some bad ratings. I cancelled this reservation within Joe's of making it and they tried to keep $145 of my money. They sent me an email stating I needed to cancel the day before I made the reservation. contact my credit card to dispute that $145. Something is definitely wrong there.
Pros: -Cool AC
-Armed guard with a shotgun
Cons: -Wifi doesn't work... I stayed here twice a year apart and the wifi doesn't work, the front desk will say it works, but it doesn't, they won't help you either.
-The elevators didn't work intermittently, so taking steps was necessary (not that I cared that much, but the elevator should work).
-In the area of the lobby closest to the elevator it smells like sewage
-Breakfast is unappetizing and dining room is adjacent to area with sewage smell
Pros: The front desk was extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces, could not ask for more.
Pros: Location was nice and the sheets were clean
Cons: 1) didn't have my reservation
2) room key didn't work. 6 times. Security eventually opened the door
3) random junk in the hallways. Fridge, telephones, paint cans.
4) random rooms open with no door locks-maybe under renovation
5) changed room because key didn't work
6) no towels
7) phone was broken
8) AC was broken
9) changed rooms a second time
10) shower didn't drain
11) hot water worked 10% of the time
12) pool is very shallow and dirty
Pros: Staff was very helpful. Main facilities are are eye catching like most Ramadas Inns. Needs lots of up grades. Changed out a/c and
the TV was not usable.
Cons: Old, needs major up grades. 4 lanes bowling, doesn'the work. Pool very large, hard to get to, lots of construction noise, no shade.
Marina is private with very little to offer. Food portions will keep you skinny. After five days at various restaurants, not one great
meal. The Casino was weired. Very few gamblers, not very friendly staff. Only visited it once.
Pros: the bartender
Cons: rain leaks from roof in several areas when it rains; breakfast and dinner buffets are really poor; they situated us in a room which on friday and saturday nights is above a loudly booming night club - music starts about midnight and goes until 5 am; petty theft from our room; beds and pillows uncomfortable; sheets at least a million years old and threadbare; internet very slow; hot water in shower luke warm at best; tub does not drain so you shower standing in soapy water. i hope i never have to stay here again
Pros: The staff was very pleasant and accommodating and the view was nice. The breakfast was nice and there were a lot of things you could do at the property. The location was convenient, but the area was not very safe.
Cons: The room was not satisfactory and I had to be relocated. The safe did not work in the room, nor did the cable TV. So I was relocated to another room. The safe worked there, but the A/C was so noisy that the room was uncomfortable. The property is also in a bad area, and we were warned that we should not walk around the area. What confirmed that was the fact that at the door was an armed guard standing with a shotgun. Plus, you had to pass through a metal detector to get in the property.
The biggest problem with the property is that it is simply tired. There is a lot of deferred maintenance and things that needed updating.
Pros: Our group of friends got in too late to catch a boat taxi to Caye Caulker so we stayed here for one night. It checked all the boxes; food, bar, casino and other amenities. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice but overall it wasn't anything special. I'll stay again if I'm in Belize City.
Pros: location, access to restaurants
Cons: the hot water stopped running at some point, the corridors weren't clean, the faucet system was leaky, the a/c unit was too aggressive and difficult to control
