Hotel Marengo

Easy 3 min walk to beach. For us during the shoulder season, it was no problem parking but I can see it might be an issue during peak season. Close to grocery store and some food. Owner was very nice and welcoming.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable.

Very friendly service, Marie is a wonderful host and cares about her guests. Very comfortable rooms, clean and spacious bathrooms, nice style and atmosphere in the cute little hotel! Located in a quite neighbourhood, a little outside the centre and beach is 2min walk away. Highly recommended hotel!

Public transports goes very rarely in Ajaccio, so it's hard to commute from the centre to the hotel if one does not have a car or wants to walk.

You saw at once that the management paid attention to all the little details that make a stay pleasant.

A very friendly staff, very tastefully decorated rooms. And something we particularly liked because we we usually don't like ac: the perfect air-conditioning system: no noise or chilly breeze that keeps you awake. Location is great: at walking distance from the center, but in a quiet neighborhood, with an excellent bakery around the corner. Plus a nice coffee bar next to it where they allow you to eat your croissant when you order coffee ;-) And at one minute walk from the beach (which has a very nice beach bar).

We opted for the economy room with an outside toilet, something we usually don't mind, but if you are tall we wouldn't recommend it. You will bump your head if you go there at night even though you are warned for the low ceiling. ;-)
